Signal light

Akibatnya, masa kereta tu brek tetibe untuk pancung lane aku, motor kat belakang tak sempat nak brek abis, jadi bergesel dgn Myvi lalu terjatuh tepi keta aku.

NO way aku nak kasi can kat korang. Sila beradab sket ketika ada kesesakan lalulintas. Semua orang nak sampai ofiz awal, bukan kau sorang je. Kau angkat tangan tanda respek, lagi aku suka. Sekurang2nya kalau kau bagi signal light, org tepi kau tau, org blkg kau nampak. Takde lah sampai nak ter-eksiden.

Aku rasa aku nak implement benda sama minggu depan. Sape pancung tanpa signal light, memang aku nak honk. Signal light tu takde la jauh mane dari stering dan takde la berat pun. Lagi pun stuck in traffic jam ni sangatlah membosankan. Boleh jadi hobi baru honk2 orang nih. Haha.

Malam Minggu Lalu

Seronok eh duduk melepak sambil makan Mamee Monster, bercerita tentang kisah semalam. Huhu. Lepas tu aku nampak tourists lalu kat depan dataran sambil snap2 photo; tersengih-sengih mereka tengok kereta yang macam-macam jenis kat tengah bandar camni. Tu lah awak, percaya sangat kitorang ni duduk atas pokok! Kan dah kene tipu dengan iklan merapu tu semua!

Ini Falkor

Ok, situasinya begini. Rempit pun ramai jugak. Ehh, yang nak jual MLM pun ada! Siap isi2 borang atas bonet kete! Perghh..

Ok, memang takde hal.

Ini Falkor dan kereta kawan ah-beng-wannabe

TAPI TETIBE dia cakap “Apa yang seronok sangat melepak kat sini?”, “Ada tengok bangsa lain melepak kat sini?” Ok, ini sedikit melampau. Kalau nak mintak kami bersurai, cakap je “Sila bersurai”. Tak perlu provoke lebih2. In fact, ada kami memberontak masa pak polisi suruh bersurai??

Anyway, kenapa kerajaan tak nampak potensi Dataran Merdeka tu jadi tourist spot at night? Although I don’t like kereta Ah Beng, I think they ought to be given some highlights. Boleh buat weekly event kat situ. Daripada diorang pergi somewhere else where they serve boost and drugs, wouldn’t it be safer in the streets under the supervision of some authority? Tourist pun excited tengok something different about KL nightlife. Hey even families lepak kat situ!

And by the way pak polisi, there weren’t just Malays (if that’s what you were implying), there were Indians too. Ada satu bangsa je kat Malaysia ni, BANGSA MALAYSIA. Buat baik ke, jahat ke, semua pun kami sepakat ok! MUAHAHAHA!!

Keluarga Mak

Dah hampir dua minggu tak update blog ni. Pegi MTV World Stage aritu pun tak sempat update. Senang citer, takyah update lah oke? Lagipun, mase MTV World Stage tak berapa nak enjoy disebabkan kaki yang agak-agak tempang ketika itu. Huhuhu..

Tapi nak dijadikan cerita lagi (yer, memandangkan dah lama tak update korang), aku demam la pulak minggu lepas! Dari hari Selasa sampai ke hari Jumaat. Dokte kat tingkat 15 yang susah nak bagi MC tu pun merelakan aku cuti sakit 2 hari bai! Hari Jumaat patut dapat MC gak tapi memandangkan aku ni suka berlagak sihat, maka aku pun masuk kerja dalam keadaan separa sedar. Heh.

Alaa apa aku merepek ni. Aku sebenarnya nak bercerita pasal keluarga mak.

Semua anak-anak dia manjakan aku. Kejap orang ni dukung, kejap orang tu dukung. Ye lah, aku kan comel masa kecik-kecik dulu. Haha. Petang-petang suka pergi berjalan dengan kak Jie (anak mak). Lepas tu kalau abang (anak mak) nak dating sama bini dia, mesti bawak aku skali, konon-konon nak blaja jaga anak. Kecik-kecik aku dah jadi bahan eksperimen. Takpe, janji aku dibawa ke zoo tengok monyet. Monyet?! Ahh!

Hari Sabtu lepas sempat jumpa mereka kat Merlimau masa kami nak anta adik laki aku sambung belajar kat kolej XXX, Melaka. Jadi segan pulak jumpa diorang sebab tak jumpa lebih 20 tahun. Banyak betul cerita yang diorang bukak pasal aku. Siap tunjuk album gambar lama aku bergambar dengan diorang. Lepas tu cerita pasal aku nangis teresak-esak waktu diorang pindah balik Melaka. Pasal aku kalau takut langsir rumah bergoyang, aku mesti lari masuk rumah diorang sebab rumah diorang langsir tak bergoyang. Yer, aku penakut masa kecik. Kalau aku dengar bunyi tarian singa dari jauh pun, aku dah lari sembunyi dalam bilik sembahyang! Hahaha..

Tapi yang paling menyentuh perasaan bila mereka cerita pasal hidup berjiran dengan keluarga aci (keluarga nenek aku). Diorang berjiran dari tahun 60an hingga 80an. Dengan penuh perasaan bangga diorang cakap, “Mane lagi nak jumpe Melayu duduk, baring, bergolek2 dalam umah aci? Anak mak keluar masuk umah aci macam masuk umah keluarga sendiri. Kita dulu memang rapat dengan keluarga aci. Kalau malas nak keluar bilik, mesyuarat tingkap pun jadik lah!” Huhu.

Banyak jugak benda yang diorang tahu pasal keluarga nenek aku. Semua nama pakcik, makcik aku diorang ingat. Siapa pernah gaduh dengan siapa pun diorang tahu. Huhu.

The Rainbow Dance and All Things Lovely

When I was little, I used to have an imaginary friend named Margaret. Margaret and I had so much in common. We love to play hide and seek, scare away frogs, giggle at young boys passing by the house, and get excited when it rains. When we spot a rainbow after the rain, we would do the “rainbow dance”. We also called it the “Dance to a Pot of Gold” hoping that a pot of gold would just slide down the rainbow into our arms. Yea, blame the leprechauns for making us believe in it!

One day, I asked her why does she love the things I love and how come we have so much in common? Margaret claims that she knows what I like because she came from the future. I never believed it until I stumbled upon this letter she wrote me almost 20 years ago while cleaning up my drawers yesterday.

See what I mean??! How would she know about Sloggi products if she wasn’t from the future?? The letter just solved all the puzzles I had before. I know what you mean now, Margaret. I promise you I will take good care of our mother nature because you just pointed out all things lovely about the world!

If Sloggi can do it, I can do it too! *winks*

Colmar Tropicale, Berjaya Hill

I’ve been wanting to go there for quite some time because I heard so much about the place. So on Sunday (since we don’t know where else to go to spend time together), we decided to just go and see what’s so awesome up there.

But honestly, there isn’t really much to see except the VERY FEW French buildings, a rabbit farm, the botanical garden and the Japanese village. The food is very expensive but it did not come as a surprise. The only other thing that might interest you is paying RM25 ( i think) to be wrapped in kimono for 30 minutes. Or trying out the spa which costs a few hundred ringgit.

This is a quick update since I still haven't found the mood to blog seriously. So, I’ll just leave you with some MUST HAVE pictures from Colmar Tropicale. Trust me, you see this in every Colmar Tropicale photo album in your friend’s Facebook.

By the way, entrance fee is at RM 10 per person. Sheesh.

p.s. Puthaandu Nalvazhthukkal to all my Tamil, Sikh, Malayalee friends and family. May your dreams and wishes come true this year!

I'm going to the Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair!

Brothers and sisters, mums and dads. Uncles and aunties, nieces and nephews. Neneks and atoks and all the orang kampongs! Come, come join me at the Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair happening this April 2010! Details of the event are as below:

“But why, WHY must we go? What’s so interesting about the event!” they retaliate.

Uhh, well, unless you think you’re the MOST UNLUCKY PERSON IN THE PLANET, there’s more than a reason to go! There’s gonna be lucky draws and they’re gonna give away cool gadgets worth up to RM15,000!

Neneks and atoks can also wrestle in the Sumo Wrestling game (in air bag suits okay!). Mums and dads, if you can’t settle it in bed at the dinner table, you can take it out at the Gladiator Battles. All you kids and orang kampongs sekalian, there’s just too many exciting fun fair games to begin with!

So, must go right?

Good! Please roll-on a Gatsby deodorant before you come. *Cough cough*

Now, if you don’t know how to take the bus, you can take the Monorail to Imbi station. Are we clear? If everything is good to go, then see you at the street fair!

If you need more details of the event, you can go to this website: www.gatsby.com.my/streetfair. There are online games to play too! I bet you can’t beat my brother’s score at the rope skipping, can you?

Sunset in Port Dickson

Looks good, huh? No? C’mon, this has to be good since I used a camera phone that has only 2.0megapixels. And yes, it’s the camera phone that I won more than a month ago, thanks to Nuffnang and Samsung.

Of course I have done some editing to accentuate the lighting effect but despite the editing, I am satisfied with the capture quality. Very minimal motion blur despite the fact that we were jumping when we took the shots. The shots were so much better than using my Sony Cybershot that Sony claimed has anti-motion blur function. No, I am not complimenting because I HAVE TO, but because it is THE TRUTH.

Here’s another cool image captured using the Panorama Mode on my Samsung Corby camera phone! Honestly, I was surprised with the results. I kinda underestimated the capability of this camera phone! Like seriously look down. LOL.

Last but not least, sunset in Port Dickson.

* We’ve not done crazy things in awhile, so here’s a good start. It was a great weekend gateway.
* And Falkor behaved well, didn’t he? Hehehe…

Aiman Tak Kesah, Tapi Aku SANGAT KESAH

Agak hampa bila kabus tebal sangat sampai tak tercapai impian CikPin nak tengok sang suria terbit.

Makin hampa bila kabus dah mula beransur pergi, aku perasan lalang2 Broga Hill nampak macam terbakar. Patutlah ramai budak kat Facebook Broga Hill Lovers macam kecewa sejak dua menjak ni.

MANGKOK HAYUN PUNYE AIMAN!

PEHAL CHEEBUY SANGAT GI CONTENG BATU KAT BROGA HILL NIH??!!!
ELOK2 BAGI KO KEPALA OTAK UNTUK PIKIR, YANG KO GUNE KEPALA LUTUT UNTUK PIKIR TU PEHAL???!!

ADE KO NAMPAK ORANG LAIN NAIK BUKIT TU CONTENG2 BATU???
KO NAK BUAT KENANGAN TERINDAH 01-01-10 MAMA BABAH, KO BUAT KAD KAWEN LA WEI!

TOLOOONNNGGGGGG LA PELIHARA KEINDAHAN BROGA HILL TU!
KO JANGAN ROSAKKAN LAGI BOLEH??!!

@#$%^&*!!!!

Ok. Dah lega.

p.s. Sape kenal mangkok hayun ni, suh dia baca belog nih. Mangkok hayun camni takkan lepas punya dari kutukan aku!
p.p.s. Sentap habis uolls!

CNY Break

Today is Wednesday; and I am experiencing the Wednesday Blues. How about you? Oh, you’re still on holiday? You memang lebey! Hukhuk..

Anyway, I hope it’s not too late to wish Happy Chinese New Year to my Chinese aunties, uncles, cousins and Malaysians. I hope that the Year of Tiger will bring more joy and prosperity, great health and ggrrrrreat fortune!

And more thanks to Chinese Malaysians; we have two public holidays dedicated for them, thus giving me more time to enjoy the long-stretched-weekend! Ehehehe…

Now here’s to share with the world what I did during the CNY break.

Ome got Engaged!

Congrats babe! Sorry we were ALL late. Blame it on the boyfriend, please. Heh.

She is not Ome.

She is not Ome either.

Here’s Ome. No, not the one with the flowers again! Haha!

Fireflies Kg Kuantan

Before heading back to KL from Kuala Selangor where Ome’s engagement took place, we stopped at Kg Kuantan to watch fireflies along the riverbank. At RM 40 per sampan (max. 4 person, but kids can nego-nego lah), you get to watch thousands of fireflies flashing their lights in a synchronized manner. It’s like watching hundreds of flashing Christmas trees.

They; who enjoyed the most.

The fireflies are such quite creature. It felt so calm to be WITH them. No words can describe how I felt that night. Not even Owl City’s lyrics! It was just an innocent feeling. Aah, I’ll leave it up to your imagination.

Surf Bike in Taman Tasik Perdana

It was a boring Monday morning when the boyfriend suggested that we go for a movie. Since the GSC online ticketing was not available temporarily (server always down eh!), we made our way to Berjaya Times Square only to be disappointed that the movie tickets for Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief was sold out. What a waste of our parking fee!

Disappointed and annoyed that we have not been able to watch ANY movie together for the past one month or so, we finally decided to kayaking in Taman Tasik Perdana. But upon reaching the lake, we changed our decision and settled for the surf bike.

It was fun and a great work out for the lazy bumps! LOL!

Sg Gabai Waterfall, Hulu Langat

This trip was totally UNPLANNED of. My butt still hurts from sliding down the rocks. Haha!

So, how was your Chinese New Year break?

The Birthday Girl Goes For Some Fun

The Apartment, Damansara

To celebrate on the eve of my birthday, we went for a pleasant dinner at The Apartment last night. I love the ambience and definitely love the BEDSEAT that was reserved for us! Thanks kamu, I've always wanted to sit there! I felt so relaxed and calm. It has been awhile since we have a dinner like that, huh? We should do it more often (but at a cheaper restaurant perhaps? haha!).

Broga Hill, Semenyih

And as I have requested several weeks ago, at 5a.m. this morning, we departed from Shah Alam to Semenyih where Broga Hill is located. Funny thing is, none of us remembered to bring a torch light so we ended up following a bunch of old folks on their trail up the hill. Haha.

About 30 minutes later, we're up at the first peak and ready to catch the sunrise. It's really a beautiful place. Definitely worth it to catch the sunrise. The hike wasn't so tough either. I would love to do it again and AGAIN!

I am totally exhausted right now. WE are ALL totally exhausted! So much thanks and love to kamu for making those wishes come true! Last night - The Apartment, and this morning - Broga Hill although I told him it's OKAY if we go there in the next weekend.

Get some rest now. You'll need some energy to do your LAST MINUTE REVISION to face tomorrow's exam horror!

You just made my day.

Signing off,
25 and wiser.

My Top 5 Treat List

60 hours and counting down.
Birth certificate shows that I was born in the wee hours of a beautiful Thursday morning, 8 November 198-.

I’m gonna be twenty one two three four ergh, FIVE in 60 hours.

Every year, I only wish for a good year ahead of me. Okay – that’s a lie. I wished for a raise of my monthly salary every year! Haha.

Well, a raise in my monthly salary isn’t something hard to accomplish compared to some other birthday wishes that I had in the past. Those wishes has remained as wishes for as long as I could remember – unless, someone out there would be kind enough to revive those wishes and give me a birthday treat this year. Gagagaga!

So, JUST IN CASE you think I deserve a special birthday treat this year, here’s a list of birthday treats that you could shower me. ;p

A trip to Wiltshire, UK

What are the odds of visiting Wiltshire as a birthday treat? Plenty! I know you think it’s some unexciting place that anyone would say, “Ahh, c’mon! Wiltshire?! What’s there to see?!”. Well, I want to see the this - The Stonehenge.

Prehistoric monument – estimated age at 3100 BC. Produced by a culture that left no written records. Speculation on the reason it was built range from human sacrifice to astronomy. This is more than a history - this is mystery. A strange mystery. Strange. Atreyu Strange. Gaahhh…

Bungee Jumping at Morrison's Quarry, Wakefield, Quebec

My younger sister always claims that she is a Canadian. Be it on Friendster, MSN or Facebook – she will be the Canadian vampire. YES, she claims she’s a vampire too. I know – multiple personality disorder.

And to conform and approve that she is my half sister from Canada, I would like to take her along for bungee jumping at Morrison’s Quarry, Quebec, Canada. Aaahhh.. now you think I’m such a nice sister who takes her sister along for her own birthday treat? You’ve not come to the best part yet!

You see, my sister is acrophobic – she has a fear of heights. What is a greater way to make her pee in her pants if it isn’t bungee jumping! If she wants to PROVE to me that she is indeed a Canadian, then DO WHAT CANADIAN’S DO! Yes, I know, now you think I’m that evil sister who enjoys watching her little sister pee in her pants because she was told to bungee jump. Oh well, who told you I was EVER nice anyway?

Watching her bungee jump would probably qualify as the best birthday treat I’ll ever received EVER. HAHAHAHAHA…..

Buy me a CANON Powershot SX20 IS

If you can’t afford the above birthday treats, maybe this is a relief to your pocket? HAHA.

I think it’s time to change my old and tired digital camera. It’s so worn off- it kept giving me the ‘Format Error’ screen. I don’t dream for a DSLR to come my way, so a CANON Powershot would just come in handy! Maybe if you give me now, I’ll quickly plan the trip to Canada so I could capture my sister’s frightened look and we can laugh at it together! HAHAHA. Okay – enough with the sister joke. Hope she doesn’t read this. *Gulp*

Shower me a DELL Inspiron 13

It’s due. Everytime I bring my laptop out and put it on a table, some eyes would just stare at me! “Which era are you in girl coz I’m pretty sure you need to change that lappie!”, their eyes tells me. No kidding! Intel Celeron, 40GB harddisk space, and 256 RAM card which has been upgraded to 712 RAM recently, doesn’t excite people anymore. Gawd, don't you feel pity already?! T_T

If you think I deserve a new lappie, just to let you know that I have laid my eyes on this beautiful, newly-redesigned DELL Inspiron 13 notebook computer! The specs are IRRESISTIBLE and DELL Inspiron series are said to be VERY RELIABLE.

Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo P7450 (2.13GHz /1066MHz FSB / 3MB)
Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium 64bit (English)
4GB Dual-channel 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM
320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

This is a great value for the money YOU invest on my birthday. Haha. It’s starting weight at 1.8kg will definitely help me put off the weight on my shoulder every time I travel between Shah Alam and KL with my lappie. With that size, I could even bring along my DELL lappie to surf/blog during my vacation!

To begin with, let me just give you a special coupon code 7ZQVQF2RLZRKW3 from Dell that would allow you to make purchase of a DELL Inspiron 13 with RM100 Instant Cash Redemption. NO KIDDING. Hurry up, you have between today till 10 Nov 09 to buy me the gift OF A LIFETIME with the coupon code! BTW, here’s the link for online purchase!

Oh JUST IN CASE, I want that Cherry Red – gosh, it looks so stylish! HAHA.

Support UNICEF by joining the Donor Program

I’m breaking the traditions of birthday treats here, ain’t I? Birthday treats are not supposed to be enjoyed by me alone. I like giving. The feeling is equivalent to taking.

On my birthday last year, I signed up to the Direct Debit Donor’s Program (DDDP). DDDP is a donation program for members of the public who are interested in supporting UNICEF in their mission towards improving the health, education and protection of children in Malaysia on a regular basis.

Two months ago, I have even increased my monthly donation by RM10. Not much, but I’m proud of myself for being able to donate even though the past few months I have been hitting rock bottom.

If I could get 1 or more blogger to sign up for the DDDP, I’d be thrilled to know that this post actually helped those children in a way. I’m asking for your kindness to give a treat to these children from as low as RM38 per month, and this is in a way a treat to me because you are supporting my personal effort to get more people to contribute. I am not paid or commissioned for this, it’s just a passion.

If you have any questions about making a donation to UNICEF Malaysia via DDDP, contact UNICEF Malaysia at +603 2095 9154 / 2092 5812; or email jwong@unicef.org.

And that, would be the most sincere and touching birthday treat. *teary eyes*

Badaling Wall

It has been a week. I am still feeling lazy from all the meetings, tracks and travelling. And this morning, I received a bad news. Ok, so it WASN'T AS BAD AS I have IMAGINED when I picked up the call at 3:45a.m. Dem you Wak Li! You SCARE THE SH*T out of me!

Ouhh, nevermind. Let's talk about my trip to the GREAT WALL first! Huhu~

So I've seen, walked and climbed the Great Wall! What a great experience! And especially when I went there ALL BY MYSELF guided by only a subway map in my hand with some notes about which bus to take. Huhu.

So these are just some notes and tips for all you future travelers to the Great Wall:
  • Reserve between 7-8 hours for this trip.
  • You can take the subway to the Jiushuitan station, and then take the bus no 919 from the Deshengmen station. Note that this bus station should not be confused with the Deshengmenxi station. You will first come across the Deshengmenxi station, but keep walking further down street, until you see the Deshengmen station. If you want some confirmation, just holler down a local and say "Badaling", they will point out the direction for you. Yes, they point, because even if they speak, they would tell you in Mandarin! Lol.
  • Bus fare costs 12 Yuan one-way. The journey from the town to the walls will take you approximately 1 hour.
  • Wear good shoes. No heels, no skirts, no dress! If you stumble down the wall, it's your fault. If you give free show to the guys, it's their pleasure. Mind you, the winds are really strong up there. Haha~
  • Your entry ticket to visit the walls are at 40 Yuan. There will be pulley ride ticket as well at 30 Yuan one-way. This pulley ride will take you to the first tower. When you reach the ticketing counter, some pushy guides will force you to buy the return ticket (60 Yuan) for the pulley ride. Unless you KNOW you will NOT make it to the other end of the Badaling wall, then you can take the return ticket. If you want to climb the walls by foot until you find the next exit, then insist on getting the one-way ticket only.
  • O yeah, bring SUFFICIENT AMOUNT of money! I almost went back empty-handed when I only brought with me a total of 110 Yuan! Thank goodness I found out that I should only take the one-way ticket for pulley ride. Huhu.
  • Climbing from where you get off the ride to the exit point will take you an approximately 2 hours with some sight-seeing in between stops.
  • Some sections are very steep and therefore might require some physical endurance. It is advisable that you carry with you two 500ml bottles of drinking water to keep you hydrated. I only had 1 bottle of drinking water with a piece of muffin and I had to ensure enough portion through out the journey. Huhu~
  • Some local tips to keep your body hydrated are fruits and especially cucumber.
  • Use caps/hats instead of umbrella because wind is quite strong when you reach the highest tower.
  • Buy your food/drink elsewhere. The vendors at the walls can really cut throat.
  • Do not forget your camera, and enjoy the trip!

It was definitely a pleasant and memorable journey for me. I wished I had more time to visit the Forbidden city too. Unfortunately, time is very jealous of my journey and by the time I rushed to the Forbidden City which is located back in the town, it was 5 minutes before closing time. Sigh~

* Thank you Lord for giving me the chance to wake up and know that he is living.
* Gift untuk Sepeket dah karam bersame Stella. Uhuk2~
* Why is it that when we purchase/subscribe, we must pay on the spot but if we want a refund, it takes weeks to get it? What kind of policy is this?! O wait, it must be the Boleh-land effect!
* If he HAD SOLD the handphone to return the money, WHY DIDN'T HE RETURN IT YET? It's SIMPLE LOGIC, mind you.
* LAME excuse dude. You know that!

Greetings from Beijing peeps!

Ergh! It's a dreadful feeling when I could not get into blogspot today. Thanks CHINA, you're a GREAT host. Thanks for censoring so many of my favorite site. Oh btw, can you teach the Malaysian gov a thing, or two? They are MORE THAN HAPPY to follow your footstep because we bloggers don't say nice things. Haha. Ok, NO, DON'T teach them anything! Wawawa~

It was almost IMPOSSIBLE to find a proxy that could get pass China's censorship! Most proxies only allow me to view my blog, it doesn't allow me to manage the blog. What proxy I'm using? Hehe. That will be kept a secret until I get back to Malaysia! (I don't want the Chinese gov to find out and block it while I'm here!) Lalala~

Anyway, arrived in Beijing Capital Airport at almost 6:30am, and yippie, I found my way to the hotel by taking the subway! Huhu. Come to think of it, I feel safer taking the subway. I heard some people giving review about the taxi at the airport and it scares me! And the trains are fast. Something like our LRT.

After checking into a hotel, setting up connection, getting upset with censorship, taking a nap, I took the subway to Tian Anmen Square. However, since I thought I could use a tour guide (Yang Xi, I'm using you!), I decided that I should postpone my visit to The Forbidden City at the end of my trip. So then I took the subway to Wangfujing. Got to the streets and gosh, its a LOT OF PEOPLE! China is really crowded ehh. Anyway, I've got some stuffs for my mum and aunties. Unfortunately, I still haven't found anything for you and my siblings. Hmm..

Photobucket

* I almost miss my flight for CRYING! Lol.
* I miss you... :(

** Alignment of post is in haywire. No label assigned yet. Some things cannot be done in proxy. Sigh~

Geng Bas Sekolah

Don't you feel a lil’ nervous when you take the public transportation, especially the bus, and notice that the majority of the passengers AREN'T Malaysian? It freaks me out when I enter a bus full of non-Malaysian passengers i.e. Indonesian, Philippines, Cambodians, Bangladeshis. Ahh, put it this way, IMMIGRANTS. I hope I'm not wrong at calling them immigrants.

I feel lost. As though I took the wrong bus. And one glance outside the bus window, I see Proton and Perodua cars. Pheww! I'm home! In Malaysia.

I am not xenophobic towards them. Okay, maybe a lil' towards African. It has a good reason okay! And NO, you don't need to know, thank you very much.

I just feel, uncomfortable. I look human, don't I? But why are they staring at me as though I am the alien from outer space and they are the only humans on earth??

Fine, maybe I DO look alien to them. But why are they staring at my body again??? Fak.

It is bad enough that we don't get seats in the bus because well, obviously, these people has already taken over all the seats available. Now, since we're standing, they do a full body inspection on us??? Watdefak!

If that isn't bad enough, just wait till an old lady gets into the bus. They don't even have the f**king courtesy to give up their seats! They would even do a full body inspection on the old lady, for goodness sake!

Let alone the part when they push their way into the bus. Sigh...

I'd love to have good perception of people, including them. But if they keep behaving this way, I don't think I could ever think so beautifully of them. I feel sorry.

* If an Indian bad-mouthing the Malays is a racist, then what about a Malaysian like me bad-mouthing immigrants like them? Yikes.
* Fair enough that I don't call them illegal immigrants, eh?
* You think I'm gonna talk about the kids program on tv, eh? Haha~

Seronok, memang seronok. Mana tidaknya, aku dah lama tak mengikuti perkembangan dunia F1. Malah, baru tempoh hari aku bertanyakan pada dia, "Time aku start follow F1 adalah ketika zaman kegemilangan Michael Schumacher. Masa tu Jenson Button baru nak naik. Apa dah jadi ngan Jenson Button tu ek."

Ya, begitu teruk pengetahuan ku tentang dunia F1 sehinggakan aku tidak mengesyaki bahawa Jenson Button itu sebenarnya seorang pelumba yang sangat, SANGAT berjaya sekarang ni! Aihh.

Korang tunggu je lah poser-poser tu upload kat Flickr oke. Haha!

February 14, 2009

This day may be argued by most religions, but I always think of it as a day chosen in a year, where couples, married or not, celebrates with the rest of the world. If you chose another day, you'd be the loneliest couple on earth! Ahaa..

I never had anything special on this day before. Probably because I don't have a special someone to celebrate with. I hoped for one last year, but it never came. My ex didn't think it was ANY big deal.

Come this year, I thought, "Heck, he might not care either. Oh well, I don't want to care!"

But I never expected for this to come!

I never had anything given to me on Valentine's day, so thanks kamu! I can't believe I got these lovely cupcakes when earlier that day, I was actually discussing with Pejah about cupcakes! It is flattering! Huhu~

Thank you again kamu. Penang is a good place for a weekend getaway. It was spontaneous, yet it is one of our best moments spent together. I love that place where the Neo guyz left us. It was really nice.

* I don't like people forcing me over and over again when I have declined to accept. It puts too much pressure - to please you or to stay firm with my decision. I hate it. Note that: HATE it.
* It's been too many days. The pain still strikes, but who am I to complain... Shut up, Jen.
* Next time, we shall take the bus. Else, I'll DIE in guilt. Thanks to you.
* I hope you don't regret it. I know I'm almost regretting it...

Weekend Report

It's a Friday night, people go out partying, clubbing and racing. But I decided to become a good Hindu devotee (ehem2) by accompanying my aunt for a Thaipusam celebration. We walked from Pudu to Batu Caves in the wee hours to commemorate the chariot procession. It took us approximately 5hours. It was tiring, my feet were aching, but during most of my journey I was annoyed with the INDIAN REMPITS. Yeahh, this is the time of the year where you get to see the most of INDIAN REMPITS in action. I HATE them because they were menacing on the road. And the fact that they keep riding their noisy bikes in between the devotees just gets on my nerves. I even swore that if I saw an Indian rempit hitting into one of the devotee and causing injury, I would kick his ass head. NO, I'm DARN SERIOUS. But you rempits should be thankful to Lord Murugan because he didn't allow such a thing to happen during his birthday celebration. @#$%^&*!!!

And this is also the time of the year where Indian trans takes the center stage (or shall I say, road??). Yeahh, lots of them. And mind you, they have boobs and walk so much graceful than I could! Dem.

All said and done, I went home the next day feeling good that I actually gone through the 5 hour journey with no OTHER COMPLAINTS. Well, I was also annoyed with my aunt's friend actually...heck, I don't want to care! She's not important to me!

Come Sunday, I went shopping. Not for myself though. Bought an evening gown for my sister, but fell in love with it anyway. Huhu. Can I steal it for Valentine's? LOL.

The phone went beeping. Apparently, the trip to Malacca that was scheduled to happen is still in question. So, I said, let's go. And so, we shot to Malacca. Reached Simpang Ampat, Corndog decided to meet his ex, although he was twisting the point by saying UniKL has the best food and drink. Heck, we left him there to meet his ex and we continued our journey.

To summarize, it was a short journey. I was a bit moody. Some people just don't know how to appreciate the effort Ammar made to go to Malacca. If it wasn't for Ammar, I would have said no. And if it wasn't because of Melvin, Ammar would have said no too.

I have a curfew, Melvin. And last night, I passed the curfew. Thankfully, my aunt wasn't so moody. Else, I would have blamed the world for all my misery listening to her lectures.

But I am still shaken. What appeared in the pictures we took? A paranormal sighting? Perhaps... And that's for the 6 of us to ponder. But I believe in good spirits. And they were doing a good job by letting their presence be known to us. At least we know that history shall remain in the ruins of A'Famosa...

Out Of My Way People!

I have a habit of walking fast everywhere I go, even at the shopping malls. Perhaps this is due to the fact that as a teenager, I walk to school on a daily basis and often speed up to beat the school bell. Hehe. Sometimes, if I have extra-curricular activity in the evening, I will go home to take my lunch, a nap, and maybe some tv before I head back to school.

On weekdays, I often take the bus to work. At the last stop, everyone in the bus would get up and push their way out of the bus. I understand it is a rush hour, so people SHOULD BE rushing. But then, I don't know if they really understood what rushing means! Normally, I will be among the last ones to get out of the bus due to my humble-ness and petite-ness...

OK FINE, to be honest, I let them get down first (and win) because I know the moment I get down of the bus, like a fierce tigress, I can OVER-TAKE ALL OF THEM EFFORTLESSLY. Haha. Can't you see that you are in no competition with me? You WON'T WIN even if you get down from the bus first. You're just too slow for my speed. I ALWAYS reach the tower first. So, next time you feel like dashing out the bus door, make sure you speed your way off too. It's kinda funny when you dash for the door, then take little steps to the office. And you're slowing me down.

The same goes to train commuters. Don't dash for the door if you don't really mean to rush once you're out of the door. It's PLAIN ANNOYANCE.

Anyway, this doesn't mean that I don't slow down. I do. I am adaptive to my surroundings. In fact, I walk last if my grandma is around. We all watch out for our grandmas, don't we?

But morons like bus-dashers and train-dashers simply gets on my nerves.

* Have you notice that I now put pictures for each post? I find it as a good blogging habit.
