I would like to officially announce that I am moving to my new home at http://www.bedtimestorie.com/ beginning today, 21st of September, 2010.
If you don't want to miss my ramblings, kindly update your blogroll/feed with the new URL.
Comments are disabled for this post. Appreciate if you leave your comments at my new home! And worry not about culture shock because the new home feels as gloomy as this home anyway! :P
Although for the first time in 47 years 16th of September is declared a public holiday today, let us not forget that we have been Malaysia since 1963.
Let us not forget that our forefathers had fought very hard to gain independence and to form Malaysia.
Therefore;
Let us cherish this day and bring great awareness to fellow Malaysians on the significance of Malaysia Day.
Let us appreciate the pain, the hard work, and the compromise that our forefathers have endured to carve the Document of Unity, our Constitution.
Let us carry on the tradition of our forefathers to be friendly to our neighbours, to show love to all races and to teach our kids discipline – to which; we have lacked in all the departments.
And;
Let us bring Malaysia up for the world to see with great admiration and we will be feared.
Our forefather has accomplished a lot in the past for the betterment of his kids, his grandchildren - us. Why are we disappointing them?
Build this nation; not destroy it. If we destroy it, we will be crushing thousands of hearts of our forefathers.
The last time I updated my blog was on the 1st of September, 2010 and that was 13 days ago. This useless post will tell you what I’ve been up to since that day and why I am being such a jacka$$ for not updating this blog. Not that it is an obligation to update anyway.
I just got myself a domain and a hosting thanks to Exabytes. Been thinking of moving this blog to a dot com for some time now and am glad this is gonna happen soon.
Problem is, since the blog is gonna be powered by Wordpress, I am having difficulties finding the RIGHT theme for my new blog. I need a REALLY COOL DARK THEME and I can’t find it! Yes there are hundreds and thousands of themes on the internet but trust me, I’ve been in and out of sites offering free themes and yet, I have found none to my liking! I tried matching light-colored themes to my blog but nah, I’m all gloomy and emo so it doesn’t work that way.
So there you go. I am basically annoyed that I can't find the right theme though I've decided on a theme yesterday. Am not satisfied, but that's all I have. I can create my own theme but time is simply jealous of me.
And yeah you can say it’s difficult to please me.
On another note, I guess I have not wished my Muslim readers Selamat Hari Raya but I can still do it right since “Puasa sebulan, Raya pun sebulan!”. LOL. It’s the fourth day of Raya and traffic this morning is still awesome. Left Shah Alam at 7.25a.m and arrived at my office in Kerinchi at 7.50a.m. So you guys can take the extra leave until the end of this week. I approve all your leaves! Haha!
Anyway, before I start talking nonsense (like this make any sense, duhh), I would like to wish Selamat Hari Raya to all my Muslim readers and bloggers. As much as you ask for forgiveness from your friends and family, remember to forgive them as well. Don’t hold grudges too long.
Life is short and life is so temporary.
p.s. I'll be moving soon so keep your eyes on the next post!
Akibatnya, masa kereta tu brek tetibe untuk pancung lane aku, motor kat belakang tak sempat nak brek abis, jadi bergesel dgn Myvi lalu terjatuh tepi keta aku.
NO way aku nak kasi can kat korang. Sila beradab sket ketika ada kesesakan lalulintas. Semua orang nak sampai ofiz awal, bukan kau sorang je. Kau angkat tangan tanda respek, lagi aku suka. Sekurang2nya kalau kau bagi signal light, org tepi kau tau, org blkg kau nampak. Takde lah sampai nak ter-eksiden.
Aku rasa aku nak implement benda sama minggu depan. Sape pancung tanpa signal light, memang aku nak honk. Signal light tu takde la jauh mane dari stering dan takde la berat pun. Lagi pun stuck in traffic jam ni sangatlah membosankan. Boleh jadi hobi baru honk2 orang nih. Haha.
We were at a Pizza Hut in Persiaran Ara Kiri, Bangsar several days ago for buka puasa and I just want to express how disappointed I am with their service.
First of all, the staff did not allow us to make reservation for buka puasa although we were as early as 6pm. I even offered to place my order and PAY for the food beforehand to secure a reservation but it was denied as well. They claimed that the premise will be packed later and other people might take our seats/table.
Well, you can just put up a reservation tag on the table, can’t you?
To this, the staff claimed that they don’t have reservation tags. Mind you, when we were at the mamak several days ago, they just wrote “RESERVED” on a piece of paper and reserved a table for us. What’s so difficult about doing that?? We got a table reserved at a mamak, but not at this Pizza Hut. O_o
Although annoyed, the boyfriend and I decided to just stay and wait until it’s buka puasa time. The waiter took our order at approximately 6.15pm and we were left surfing the internet until it was buka puasa time.
10 minutes into buka puasa time and the premise was only half full. Yeahh, so much for “will be packed later and other people might take your seats/table”. LOL!
The Nasi Kurma Ayam came and we were simply too flabbergasted. Nak mintak tukar, kesian, sebab tengok muka letih staf yang berpuasa.
Then it was already buka puasa time but the Pizza was still not served. Shall we remind you that we came at 6pm and our order was taken at 6.15pm? Buka puasa is ONE HOUR LATER and yet you can’t serve ON TIME?? A friend said, “diorang nak pastikan Pizza tu masih panas bila sampai kat meja kot”.
10 minutes later the Pizza arrived. It was NOT that hot to claim it just came out of the oven. And you know pizzas will not taste that good if it isn’t served hot, right? DOUBLE FACE PALM.
So yes, I am very, very disappointed and ANNOYED with the service at the Pizza Hut in Persiaran Ara Kiri, Bangsar.
Dah lah PERASAN ramai orang nak makan kat situ, servis lembab, buah kurma pun bagi 2 bijik je utk share dua org?? Wehh, mamak pun bagi agar-agar+tembikai+kurma la bai!
p.s. Before any of you suggest that the staffs are probably too tired of fasting, well it should NOT be an excuse for the terrible service overall. p.p.s There is nothing special about the Citarasa Ramadhan so you can just skip the idea of breaking fast with this offer.
This is not my usual cycle. If I'm home doing nothing, I would usually fall asleep by 11pm. Something is bothering me. Hmm.
Missing someone, perhaps? Aahh, 99 percent of my heart says YES. T__T
Since I am awake and have nothing better to do with my time, I thought I should share with you gals and guys my luncheon with Nicole and TianChad yesterday afternoon. It was totally spontaneous that we decided to have our lunch together at the Old Town Kopitiam somewhere near KLCC.
So there we were, having our lunch and talking nonsense. Haha. But for most of the time, I think they had to layan my crappy stories. LOL!
But seriously, we had a lot to talk about. Especially when all three of us loves participating in contests. We talked about past contests that we had won, exchanged contest notes, discussed the latest contests that might interest us and even talked about pregnancy.
Yes, we talked about pregnancy. I don't know how that came up but it did! And TianChad was just giving us the blur look when Nicole and I got a little carried away talking about pregnant mums. Haha. And yes, I do find mum with her little baby bump sexy!
Gawd I don't know what does this blog entry serves! This must be one of the laziest entry ever in the history of BEDTIME STORIES!
WHICH reminds me, do you think I should get my own domain name? And if I should, which is a more appropriate name, www.bedtimestorie.com or www.atreyustrange.com? Or do you have any other suggestion? This was even discussed during our lunch. Jealous eh they got their own domain name! =.=
Seronok eh duduk melepak sambil makan Mamee Monster, bercerita tentang kisah semalam. Huhu. Lepas tu aku nampak tourists lalu kat depan dataran sambil snap2 photo; tersengih-sengih mereka tengok kereta yang macam-macam jenis kat tengah bandar camni. Tu lah awak, percaya sangat kitorang ni duduk atas pokok! Kan dah kene tipu dengan iklan merapu tu semua!
Ini Falkor
Ok, situasinya begini. Rempit pun ramai jugak. Ehh, yang nak jual MLM pun ada! Siap isi2 borang atas bonet kete! Perghh..
Ok, memang takde hal.
Ini Falkor dan kereta kawan ah-beng-wannabe
TAPI TETIBE dia cakap “Apa yang seronok sangat melepak kat sini?”, “Ada tengok bangsa lain melepak kat sini?” Ok, ini sedikit melampau. Kalau nak mintak kami bersurai, cakap je “Sila bersurai”. Tak perlu provoke lebih2. In fact, ada kami memberontak masa pak polisi suruh bersurai??
Anyway, kenapa kerajaan tak nampak potensi Dataran Merdeka tu jadi tourist spot at night?Although I don’t like kereta Ah Beng, I think they ought to be given some highlights. Boleh buat weekly event kat situ. Daripada diorang pergi somewhere else where they serve boost and drugs, wouldn’t it be safer in the streets under the supervision of some authority?Tourist pun excited tengok something different about KL nightlife. Hey even families lepak kat situ!
And by the way pak polisi, there weren’t just Malays (if that’s what you were implying), there were Indians too. Ada satu bangsa je kat Malaysia ni, BANGSA MALAYSIA. Buat baik ke, jahat ke, semua pun kami sepakat ok! MUAHAHAHA!!
Dah hampir dua minggu tak update blog ni. Pegi MTV World Stage aritu pun tak sempat update. Senang citer, takyah update lah oke? Lagipun, mase MTV World Stage tak berapa nak enjoy disebabkan kaki yang agak-agak tempang ketika itu. Huhuhu..
Tapi nak dijadikan cerita lagi (yer, memandangkan dah lama tak update korang), aku demam la pulak minggu lepas! Dari hari Selasa sampai ke hari Jumaat. Dokte kat tingkat 15 yang susah nak bagi MC tu pun merelakan aku cuti sakit 2 hari bai! Hari Jumaat patut dapat MC gak tapi memandangkan aku ni suka berlagak sihat, maka aku pun masuk kerja dalam keadaan separa sedar. Heh.
Alaa apa aku merepek ni. Aku sebenarnya nak bercerita pasal keluarga mak.
Semua anak-anak dia manjakan aku. Kejap orang ni dukung, kejap orang tu dukung. Ye lah, aku kan comel masa kecik-kecik dulu. Haha. Petang-petang suka pergi berjalan dengan kak Jie (anak mak). Lepas tu kalau abang (anak mak) nak dating sama bini dia, mesti bawak aku skali, konon-konon nak blaja jaga anak. Kecik-kecik aku dah jadi bahan eksperimen. Takpe, janji aku dibawa ke zoo tengok monyet. Monyet?! Ahh!
Hari Sabtu lepas sempat jumpa mereka kat Merlimau masa kami nak anta adik laki aku sambung belajar kat kolej XXX, Melaka. Jadi segan pulak jumpa diorang sebab tak jumpa lebih 20 tahun. Banyak betul cerita yang diorang bukak pasal aku. Siap tunjuk album gambar lama aku bergambar dengan diorang. Lepas tu cerita pasal aku nangis teresak-esak waktu diorang pindah balik Melaka. Pasal aku kalau takut langsir rumah bergoyang, aku mesti lari masuk rumah diorang sebab rumah diorang langsir tak bergoyang. Yer, aku penakut masa kecik. Kalau aku dengar bunyi tarian singa dari jauh pun, aku dah lari sembunyi dalam bilik sembahyang! Hahaha..
Tapi yang paling menyentuh perasaan bila mereka cerita pasal hidup berjiran dengan keluarga aci (keluarga nenek aku). Diorang berjiran dari tahun 60an hingga 80an. Dengan penuh perasaan bangga diorang cakap, “Mane lagi nak jumpe Melayu duduk, baring, bergolek2 dalam umah aci? Anak mak keluar masuk umah aci macam masuk umah keluarga sendiri. Kita dulu memang rapat dengan keluarga aci. Kalau malas nak keluar bilik, mesyuarat tingkap pun jadik lah!” Huhu.
Banyak jugak benda yang diorang tahu pasal keluarga nenek aku. Semua nama pakcik, makcik aku diorang ingat. Siapa pernah gaduh dengan siapa pun diorang tahu. Huhu.
About two months back, Lenovo organized a contest on twitter which required us to vote for our idea of fun and tweet a slogan using the hashtag #LenovoFUN.
I gave it a shot and I won.
I went to pick up the winning prize late yesterday evening from the Lenovo office in Damansara. I won Isetan shopping vouchers worth, well, let’s just say enough to last for a year. Hehe.
Pictured here with Mdm Hui Hui. Picture credits to Miss Ella Ng of LenovoMY.
So how am I going to spend the vouchers? Wisely. I’m reserving some for the festive season so that I can take my mum and siblings for a shopping spree. What a relief, a little weight is off my shoulder. Now I wouldn’t have to worry so much about the festive season expenses. Thank you so much Lenovo for making this idea of fun a dream come true. You rock my socks. =D
And hopefully, I can get something special for you too. *winks*
*Follow Lenovo on Twitter at @Lenovo_MY to receive updates on their products.
First of all, yeahh, Netherlands lost to Spain in the finals. I’m still mourning so please do not add insult. As a matter of fact, if Spain had lost, I would’ve congratulated them anyway in the name of spirits of the game. Why can’t you Spain hardcore idiots do the same too?
Moving on, last Friday I attended the Nuffnang Sharing Session at Pak Li Kopitiam in Setapak Indah. Although invites were sent out to 20 bloggers, less had turned up. YOU who did not turn up will be in “Naughty list” and will be banned from any invites FOREVERRRR!!!!
Okay that was an exaggeration. ;p
For those who do not have the slightest idea what a sharing session is, well, it’s a session where you share your foods with everyone in the kopitiam. LOL, NO! *although it is encouraged* It’s a session where you share your ideas and passion on blogging. Friday night’s guest blogger was Eyriqazz and he spoke about his passion in blogging and how he made some (if not much) money and friends through blogging.
I also had the chance to meet two nice individuals, Justin and Hana. Thanks for being such a great sport. I’m not a very chatty person in the beginning so it’s nice to have you both to come over and start a conversation with me. Haha..
Oh, since I had the Samsung Galaxy S phone with me, I can’t help it but to snap, snap and away! Here are some pictures I took (all except one are food-related pictures, LOL).
They definitely have some sense of humor!
Hainanese Chicken Chop - gravy taste like tomato paste :p
Overall, the food was OK la. Hahaha.. But since they have wifi in the premise, I don’t mind sitting there a bit longer. I was updating Twitter and checking Facebook in between conversations with the bloggers. Hoho~
I wanted to take a video of Eyriqazz giving his thoughts and ideas on how to improve blog traffic but I reckon it was going to be a pretty massive file so I think the best way is; you guys can just head to his blog for more tips on blogging, okay? Haha!
But you know, tangan gatal, so must take at least one video that night and so here is Robb of NuffnangMY explaining about CPC and CPM campaigns for you NOOBS. LOL.
It's recorded on HD video format oh yeah and by the way, I still hate the noise from the surrounding due to poor audio quality. It’s like vuvuzela, annoying but you can’t do anything about it. Samsung better improve on the audio quality if they want the HD video feature to stand out as one of their selling features.
And then when everyone was about to take group photos, the phone battery died. Yeay. You doing great Galaxy S. 7 hours and you’re down??!! #$%^@&*!!!
CONGRATULATIONSNETHERLANDS!! IN YOUR FACE SUPER GAY, SISSY BRAZIL!
and, and,
CONGRATULATIONSGERMANY!! IN YOUR FACE ARGENTINA!
I couldn’t feel any better now. I’m super excited that Netherlands won over Brazil. In your faces too Brazilian fans! Haha! Now that Netherlands will be in the semis, I wish them all the best and please make us proud. I love you Oranje!
Now, on to a more awesome, grande, super exciting news, if you've been following me on Twitter, you will know that I’ve been selected by Maxis to review the Samsung Galaxy S for the next two weeks! So, in the next two weeks, please be ready to read lots and LOTS of ranting on the Samsung Galaxy S on my blog!
For those who have not heard of Samsung Galaxy S, this is the latest android phone in the market, running on Android 2.1 and is integrated with Samsung’s own Touchwiz 3.0 user interface.
Pic credits to my Samsung Corby!
My first impression on the phone? Nais! It's light and slick!
To get real-time updates on the Samsung Galaxy S, follow me on twitter @atreyustrange. There are 9 other bloggers who were chosen too and you can follow us using the hashtag #Maxis10. We will be updating you A LOT.
Get Samsung Galaxy S from your nearest Maxis store at just RM 1,699 now! RRP:RM2,599
Aku takut gila! Rasa macam taknak tengok. Taknak tau keputusan. Taknak tau Belanda gol! Taknak tau Brazil gol! Taknak tau kalau kena masuk pusingan penalti!
TAKNAK!
Netherlands bucuk (gedik sial), sila jangan hampakan peminat-peminat kamu yang sudah sekian lama menanti kamu menjulang piala dunia tu. T__T
T__T * Robben, sila berhati-hati. Kau dah dapat kad kuning aritu.
I missed the MTV World Stage last year because I was in Beijing. I pretty much thought that it would not return to Malaysia ever again. But what do you know! MTV World Stage 2010 will be happening right here in Malaysia on the 31st of July! This year’s line-up includes Bunkface, Tokio Hotel, Katy Perry and Wonder Girls. Not as interesting as last year but what the heck, I’m game for it!
And what’s more interesting is I have got my passes to MTV World Stage 2010.
So how did I get my passes?
I won it. LOL!
The passes will not be on sale, so you gotta win them through various methods. One way to win it is via the MTV Asia World Stage website.
The passes will be given out at different time slots daily on the website. The time slots will be announced on the countdown clock on the HOME page. When the countdown strikes zero, you need to spot these two icons: ‘Junior’ or ‘Bee’; which will appear randomly on the top or the bottom of the site during these specific time slots.
Spot either one of them: Junior (the naked toyol) or Bee.
If you spot the icon, click it and answer a simple question about MTV World Stage (or the artists performing) and submit your details. If you get the answer correctly, a verification email will be sent to you to verify your personal details. Then just verify it, and walaa, you’ve just won yourself a pair of passes to MTV World Stage 2010!
It seems like an easy task but it’s not! I only won the passes during my Nth attempt. ‘N’ because I don’t know how many times I’ve tried previously! Your chances are pretty much slim because Junior and Bee does not land on each and everyone’s page. If you search in Twitter using the hashtag #worldstagemy, you will be overwhelmed by the frustration and angst of aggravated fans. Some has been trying since Day 1 of the contest and still have not won.
So how could I have won the passes?
I admit, I just gotLUCKY.
There’s pretty much nothing you could do to ensure you WILL win the passes because the icons (Junior and Bee) will randomly land on someone’s computer screen. All you could do is click on every link in the website and pray that Junior or Bee will land in YOUR page.
Contest ends July 17, 2010 so you still have plenty of time to get lucky on the game! Meanwhile, STOP BEING SO WHINY. You might just win if you loosen up a bit.

I don’t know about you but I realize that there are way too many romantic comedy movies this year. One after another, bringing in star actors and actresses from all around the world, but all with a cliché: It will either be about A who likes B but A thinks he/she can never get a shot at B OR A meets B at the most inappropriate place and in the most inconvenient way, they start to hate each other but they keep bumping into each other and they would soon fall in love.
Oh, and most the time, one of them will have a returning ex-boyfriend/girlfriend or is currently engaged to the most annoying/useless/shitty person.
Introducing She’s Out of My League with two of the above cliché.
Meet Kirk (played by Jay Baruchel), the guy who works at the airport, not as a pilot but a Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) officer. Sounds like a cool job, huh? Naahh, basically that’s the guy who would scan you at the gates.
Now meet Molly (played by Alice Eve). Molly is a hot chick. She is also a party planner. While at the airport, she accidentally left behind her i-Phone and got Kirk to hold on to the phone for her. The next day, Kirk went to a party hosted by Molly to return the phone and he got into a mess at the party so Molly felt sorry and invited him to hockey game the next day and so yeay he got another date. *oh man, what a lazy sentence!*
At the game, Kirk found out that Molly is really into him. He got nervous and later consulted his crazy/psycho/mad friends. And they came up with the equation of "She's a hard 10, you're a 5, no way can a 5 date a 10," which is pretty much the basis of this movie.
So, does a 5 deserve a 10? I’ve mentioned before, the storyline is what we’ve seen time and time again. So forget the storyline, just sit back and enjoy a good laugh. The movie somehow reminds me of American Pie so that’s good enough. In fact, what I like about the movie is I enjoyed every character. Watch out for Stainer, one of Kirk’s best buddy – he is a wacko but a very interesting guy with a great sense of humor. Devon (also Kirk’s best buddy) on the other hand reminds me of Disney. Haha. Don’t ask me why. Maybe it’s his hair. Or the blue coat. Or Aladdin and Jasmine? LOL! Oh, and Kirk’s family! I couldn’t stop laughing at their expression when they first met Molly!
It isn’t a must-see movie (how often can you actually recommend a romantic comedy movie as a must-see LOL) but if you’re left between the movie ‘Knight and Day’ and this, go for THIS. I’m serious. I watched ‘Knight and Day’ last night and I was grumbling the whole time! Well, that’s another story altogether.
And by the way, this movie is a little too sexy for the kids, so it's for the 18 and above. *winks*
Long, long ago (since this is an overdue post), I went to the premiere screening of The Karate Kid thanks to maybe-you-know-maybe-you-don’t-who. Now to skip long introduction and get to the point, here are some thoughts at the end of the movie:
Movie title They say it’s a remake of The Karate Kid in 1984 but it appears more like a tribute or an acknowledgment of the legendary movie. This 2010 movie has nothing to do with Karate to begin with. It was KUNG FU all the way.
Jackie Chan I never liked this guy. Personal grudge. Next!
Jaden Smith Isn’t he the sweetest thing?! But I think he overplayed his character in the first scene where he was about to leave for Beijing. Probably he wanted to leave a good first impression but boy, you tried too hard! BUT as the movie progress, I think he became more comfortable and it seemed more natural for him to play the character. He's funny, witty and cute!
Storyline I thought the storyline was pretty obvious and laid back. Fight scenes were not too heavy for the heart or brain to accept. I heard some people leaving the cinema expressing their disappointment that there were not enough fighting scene. Hey, mind you again, this is NOT and has NEVER BEEN an action movie, okay? So if you’re expecting some shirt-soaked-in-blood scene, you’re at the wrong hall dude. This is for the kids, for the free-spirited teenagers, and for the working adults who just want to get their mind off work. Yeahh!
But one scene I can never understand is when Mr Han (Jackie Chan) talks about his past. I could not relate the importance of that scene to any part of the movie. Probably the directors thought, "Hey, let's play some emotions and show that there can be a special bond between Mr Han and Dre Parker (Jaden Smith)" and "Ohh, let's make Jackie weep like a baby!" and "Ahh, let's make Jaden pull Jackie to that corner and start practicing Kung Fu and whoosh, Jackie stops weeping!". Well, the directors thought WRONG. That scene was LAME, period. It wasted a good 15 minutes, thank you.
Minus that one LAME scene, I enjoyed the rest of the movie. I won't say it's a GRRREAT movie, but it's still worth watching! I'd rate this as 3.85 out of 5. Unlike Bounty Hunter, ergh, I won't even bother to conclude that movie in a single post because it’s just not worthy! Plus, this is Jaden Smith's first big screen appearance! If you have enjoyed watching Will Smith in the past, you will enjoy watching his lil' son. Jaden is so much like daddy! *winks*
* Going for the premiere screening of She's Out of My League tonight! Yeay!
I was blogwalking and someone posted results of a contest organized by you-know-who. Three names. All Chinese. All whom I have visited their blogs in the past. And rest assure, they DESERVE THE EFFING WIN. They are a talented lot and definitely most creative. I envy them big time for being so imaginative with their entries. At times when I see them entering contest, I had to crack the juice out of my brain to beat them. And most of the time, I fail. Haha.
BUT YOU KNOW MELEIS. They see the races more than anything. I was EFFING ANNOYED when I saw some racist comments on that post simply on the basis that the winners were all Chinese. I don't know what goes through their effing mind. What, you meleis expect some kind of quota in the contest as well ke? C'mon la. If you don't deliver a good contest entry, you expect the organizers to make you a winner just to please you meleis???
IF YOU MELEISNAK SANGAT MENANG, STOP BEING EFFING IGNORANT, KIASU AND WHAT NOT. PUT YOUR THINKING CAP ON, LEARN FROM THE WINNERS, USE YOUR IMAGINATION, DO SOME RESEARCH, WHATEVER IT TAKES LAH!!!
Stupid meleis.
* Siapa yang makan cili, dia yang terasa pedas.
* Credits to Obefiend for the term 'meleis'. I do not want to be the subject of your "So Some F*cker Stole My Blog Content #XXX" series. LOL!
I know, this post is way over due! But I can’t help going through a difficult phase as a blogger. I open my blog everyday feeling annoyed that I can’t think of any new post. Even if I have it drafted, my hands will itch and delete it soon after. Gaahh.. Can’t make up what’s wrong with me lately!
So yeahh, we had a DiGi party on the 29h of May at Ecoba, PJ Trade Centre. We were supposed to play dress-up but I didn’t. Apologies to Nuffnang and Digi for not adhering to the theme of Prisoners and Villains. Hehe. We were rushing from one place to another and we even thought that we were late for the Digi party. Turns out, we were among the earliest. LOL. If only I knew, I would have shopped for an outfit somewhere nearby!
During the party, we were expected to mingle around with the other bloggers who came. But because I was just so shy *haha* and embarrassed that I didn’t follow the party theme, I just sat at a corner with the boyfriend, enjoying drink and a casual chat. Sad case, I know. LOL.
We were also divided into teams for some activities. I was in the team Chicanos Burritos. In the first activity, everyone scattered at the park to find some missing lock codes to unlock our beloved emcee of the day, Miss Julie V.
One of my team members found 1 missing lock code. Unfortunately, another team found more than 1 lock codes, so they got the prize.
In the second activity, we were given three tasks via a Blackberry which we kind of ‘rented’ from the organizers with a certain amount of ‘deposit’. LOL. The three tasks were:
Come up with a team war cry using three keywords: Freedom, RM68 and Smart Plan
SURPRISINGLY, WE WON the second activity. We were such a laid back team, we were just having some fun, most of us didn’t even adhere to the party theme, didn’t even get to know each other closely, and WE WON. Haha. We got a really cool MAGLITE torchlight which I have bundled with my car key.
As promised by the organizers, two prizes were given away that night. Miss Debbeh won a HTC Legend for the best dressed. She did a great impersonation of Cruela DeVil from 101 Dalmation. Menjiwai watak aitelyu!
As for the best pre-event blog post, Jolyn won and walked away with a BlackBerry 9700!! T__T
In short, it was a great night. All you Chicanos Burritos dudes and babes, though it was a short meeting, it was a sweet one. See you all in the next event! LOL!

The month of May had been a month of blessings. I participated in quite a number of contests and I’ve won several. I scored passes to concert, movie screenings, and indoor/outdoor events. I got some goodie bags too. Yeahh, I know, lucky me. But rest assure, not everything is about LUCK. I got to a point where I became a bit frustrated because people only acknowledge the LUCK that I have, and not my EFFORT or TIMEspent to come up with something creative as most contest requires you think creatively. But nevermind lah, not everyone sees opportunity the way I see it. *chant to calm the frustrated soul*
I’m not here to brag, but I just won something – again. Yeay me.
I know it’s June, but I should still consider this as a blessing in May because the first winner notification came in May. And here is the winning post. Nothing to be proud of, really. I was merely doing my best. Why bother joining a contest when you don’t want to win, correct?
Quoting the boyfriend who said "God will pay for all the suffering you went through", I didn't know that God pays cash. LOL! I have an extra 2k in my pocket now (yes, taken!) but I plan to split it half with the boyfriend. I’m not being generous here. He simply DESERVES it. He had been spending a lot for me; always trying to help me out financially and he had taken some burden off me especially with Falkor’s need. I know he doesn’t expect any kind of repayment from me but I feel obliged to do it because it simply is the right thing to do. In fact, he needed a new phone (current phone problematic) but didn’t have extra cash to get one because he had been spending money on the car (Falkor). So this seems like the right decision. With the extra money that he has now, he can buy himself a phone. He takes off my clothes, and I take off his. He takes off my burden, and I take off his. Boy, I must really love you. :)
* A huge thanks to Nuffnang and Sloggi. * Congratulations to all the other winners. Let's flash 'em bra.
