Dear Malaysians

Dear Malaysians,

Although for the first time in 47 years 16th of September is declared a public holiday today, let us not forget that we have been Malaysia since 1963.

Let us not forget that our forefathers had fought very hard to gain independence and to form Malaysia.

Therefore;

Let us cherish this day and bring great awareness to fellow Malaysians on the significance of Malaysia Day.

Let us appreciate the pain, the hard work, and the compromise that our forefathers have endured to carve the Document of Unity, our Constitution.

Let us carry on the tradition of our forefathers to be friendly to our neighbours, to show love to all races and to teach our kids discipline – to which; we have lacked in all the departments.

And;

Let us bring Malaysia up for the world to see with great admiration and we will be feared.

Our forefather has accomplished a lot in the past for the betterment of his kids, his grandchildren - us. Why are we disappointing them?

Build this nation; not destroy it. If we destroy it, we will be crushing thousands of hearts of our forefathers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALAYSIA!

Signing off,
One hopeful Malaysian.

CNY Break

Today is Wednesday; and I am experiencing the Wednesday Blues. How about you? Oh, you’re still on holiday? You memang lebey! Hukhuk..

Anyway, I hope it’s not too late to wish Happy Chinese New Year to my Chinese aunties, uncles, cousins and Malaysians. I hope that the Year of Tiger will bring more joy and prosperity, great health and ggrrrrreat fortune!

And more thanks to Chinese Malaysians; we have two public holidays dedicated for them, thus giving me more time to enjoy the long-stretched-weekend! Ehehehe…

Now here’s to share with the world what I did during the CNY break.

Ome got Engaged!

Congrats babe! Sorry we were ALL late. Blame it on the boyfriend, please. Heh.

She is not Ome.

She is not Ome either.

Here’s Ome. No, not the one with the flowers again! Haha!

Fireflies Kg Kuantan

Before heading back to KL from Kuala Selangor where Ome’s engagement took place, we stopped at Kg Kuantan to watch fireflies along the riverbank. At RM 40 per sampan (max. 4 person, but kids can nego-nego lah), you get to watch thousands of fireflies flashing their lights in a synchronized manner. It’s like watching hundreds of flashing Christmas trees.

They; who enjoyed the most.

The fireflies are such quite creature. It felt so calm to be WITH them. No words can describe how I felt that night. Not even Owl City’s lyrics! It was just an innocent feeling. Aah, I’ll leave it up to your imagination.

Surf Bike in Taman Tasik Perdana

It was a boring Monday morning when the boyfriend suggested that we go for a movie. Since the GSC online ticketing was not available temporarily (server always down eh!), we made our way to Berjaya Times Square only to be disappointed that the movie tickets for Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief was sold out. What a waste of our parking fee!

Disappointed and annoyed that we have not been able to watch ANY movie together for the past one month or so, we finally decided to kayaking in Taman Tasik Perdana. But upon reaching the lake, we changed our decision and settled for the surf bike.

It was fun and a great work out for the lazy bumps! LOL!

Sg Gabai Waterfall, Hulu Langat

This trip was totally UNPLANNED of. My butt still hurts from sliding down the rocks. Haha!

So, how was your Chinese New Year break?

The Birthday Girl Goes For Some Fun

The Apartment, Damansara

To celebrate on the eve of my birthday, we went for a pleasant dinner at The Apartment last night. I love the ambience and definitely love the BEDSEAT that was reserved for us! Thanks kamu, I've always wanted to sit there! I felt so relaxed and calm. It has been awhile since we have a dinner like that, huh? We should do it more often (but at a cheaper restaurant perhaps? haha!).

Broga Hill, Semenyih

And as I have requested several weeks ago, at 5a.m. this morning, we departed from Shah Alam to Semenyih where Broga Hill is located. Funny thing is, none of us remembered to bring a torch light so we ended up following a bunch of old folks on their trail up the hill. Haha.

About 30 minutes later, we're up at the first peak and ready to catch the sunrise. It's really a beautiful place. Definitely worth it to catch the sunrise. The hike wasn't so tough either. I would love to do it again and AGAIN!

I am totally exhausted right now. WE are ALL totally exhausted! So much thanks and love to kamu for making those wishes come true! Last night - The Apartment, and this morning - Broga Hill although I told him it's OKAY if we go there in the next weekend.

Get some rest now. You'll need some energy to do your LAST MINUTE REVISION to face tomorrow's exam horror!

You just made my day.

Signing off,
25 and wiser.

My Top 5 Treat List

60 hours and counting down.
Birth certificate shows that I was born in the wee hours of a beautiful Thursday morning, 8 November 198-.

I’m gonna be twenty one two three four ergh, FIVE in 60 hours.

Every year, I only wish for a good year ahead of me. Okay – that’s a lie. I wished for a raise of my monthly salary every year! Haha.

Well, a raise in my monthly salary isn’t something hard to accomplish compared to some other birthday wishes that I had in the past. Those wishes has remained as wishes for as long as I could remember – unless, someone out there would be kind enough to revive those wishes and give me a birthday treat this year. Gagagaga!

So, JUST IN CASE you think I deserve a special birthday treat this year, here’s a list of birthday treats that you could shower me. ;p

A trip to Wiltshire, UK

What are the odds of visiting Wiltshire as a birthday treat? Plenty! I know you think it’s some unexciting place that anyone would say, “Ahh, c’mon! Wiltshire?! What’s there to see?!”. Well, I want to see the this - The Stonehenge.

Prehistoric monument – estimated age at 3100 BC. Produced by a culture that left no written records. Speculation on the reason it was built range from human sacrifice to astronomy. This is more than a history - this is mystery. A strange mystery. Strange. Atreyu Strange. Gaahhh…

Bungee Jumping at Morrison's Quarry, Wakefield, Quebec

My younger sister always claims that she is a Canadian. Be it on Friendster, MSN or Facebook – she will be the Canadian vampire. YES, she claims she’s a vampire too. I know – multiple personality disorder.

And to conform and approve that she is my half sister from Canada, I would like to take her along for bungee jumping at Morrison’s Quarry, Quebec, Canada. Aaahhh.. now you think I’m such a nice sister who takes her sister along for her own birthday treat? You’ve not come to the best part yet!

You see, my sister is acrophobic – she has a fear of heights. What is a greater way to make her pee in her pants if it isn’t bungee jumping! If she wants to PROVE to me that she is indeed a Canadian, then DO WHAT CANADIAN’S DO! Yes, I know, now you think I’m that evil sister who enjoys watching her little sister pee in her pants because she was told to bungee jump. Oh well, who told you I was EVER nice anyway?

Watching her bungee jump would probably qualify as the best birthday treat I’ll ever received EVER. HAHAHAHAHA…..

Buy me a CANON Powershot SX20 IS

If you can’t afford the above birthday treats, maybe this is a relief to your pocket? HAHA.

I think it’s time to change my old and tired digital camera. It’s so worn off- it kept giving me the ‘Format Error’ screen. I don’t dream for a DSLR to come my way, so a CANON Powershot would just come in handy! Maybe if you give me now, I’ll quickly plan the trip to Canada so I could capture my sister’s frightened look and we can laugh at it together! HAHAHA. Okay – enough with the sister joke. Hope she doesn’t read this. *Gulp*

Shower me a DELL Inspiron 13

It’s due. Everytime I bring my laptop out and put it on a table, some eyes would just stare at me! “Which era are you in girl coz I’m pretty sure you need to change that lappie!”, their eyes tells me. No kidding! Intel Celeron, 40GB harddisk space, and 256 RAM card which has been upgraded to 712 RAM recently, doesn’t excite people anymore. Gawd, don't you feel pity already?! T_T

If you think I deserve a new lappie, just to let you know that I have laid my eyes on this beautiful, newly-redesigned DELL Inspiron 13 notebook computer! The specs are IRRESISTIBLE and DELL Inspiron series are said to be VERY RELIABLE.

Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo P7450 (2.13GHz /1066MHz FSB / 3MB)
Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium 64bit (English)
4GB Dual-channel 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM
320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

This is a great value for the money YOU invest on my birthday. Haha. It’s starting weight at 1.8kg will definitely help me put off the weight on my shoulder every time I travel between Shah Alam and KL with my lappie. With that size, I could even bring along my DELL lappie to surf/blog during my vacation!

To begin with, let me just give you a special coupon code 7ZQVQF2RLZRKW3 from Dell that would allow you to make purchase of a DELL Inspiron 13 with RM100 Instant Cash Redemption. NO KIDDING. Hurry up, you have between today till 10 Nov 09 to buy me the gift OF A LIFETIME with the coupon code! BTW, here’s the link for online purchase!

Oh JUST IN CASE, I want that Cherry Red – gosh, it looks so stylish! HAHA.

Support UNICEF by joining the Donor Program

I’m breaking the traditions of birthday treats here, ain’t I? Birthday treats are not supposed to be enjoyed by me alone. I like giving. The feeling is equivalent to taking.

On my birthday last year, I signed up to the Direct Debit Donor’s Program (DDDP). DDDP is a donation program for members of the public who are interested in supporting UNICEF in their mission towards improving the health, education and protection of children in Malaysia on a regular basis.

Two months ago, I have even increased my monthly donation by RM10. Not much, but I’m proud of myself for being able to donate even though the past few months I have been hitting rock bottom.

If I could get 1 or more blogger to sign up for the DDDP, I’d be thrilled to know that this post actually helped those children in a way. I’m asking for your kindness to give a treat to these children from as low as RM38 per month, and this is in a way a treat to me because you are supporting my personal effort to get more people to contribute. I am not paid or commissioned for this, it’s just a passion.

If you have any questions about making a donation to UNICEF Malaysia via DDDP, contact UNICEF Malaysia at +603 2095 9154 / 2092 5812; or email jwong@unicef.org.

And that, would be the most sincere and touching birthday treat. *teary eyes*

Through My Window

What a tiring day it was yesterday! But hey, thanks to everyone who made it here. Pini, Aiena, Hanim, Pok, Syed and err, his friend?? Or was it his cousin?? Heh, sorry Syed, it wasn’t my fault! You did not introduce him to me!

ANYWAY, thank goodness, I took another day OFF today! So today is the day that I can get some rest, watch some tv and listen to the radio, which reminds me – it’s been awhile since I tuned-in to Hitz.fm! Gaaaahhh.. I used to be sort of addicted to the station until, work caught up with me. LOL~

While I was tuned-in to the station, the DJ played a song which reminded me of a local band though. I did not get the song title but it kept repeating “through my window..la la la.. you and me..” Gosh! Those few lines kept playing in my head! And I’m still tuned-in to the station, hoping that I would bump into the song again. Huhu.

But maybe someone else besides me heard it? *Well of course, it’s a radio station for goodness sake! Yikes.*

I got a band in mind, and I’m pretty sure it’s a local band. It’s definitely one of my favorite local bands. I’ve checked the CD Aimar gave me, and nope, it’s not in the album. But I wouldn’t wanna jump into ANY conclusion just yet. Maybe a pixelated picture of the band might help? Ahaa.

Aaaa... did I make it too obvious?? Hehe.

Oh, and I’ve tried Google. I’m normally good at telling people, “Just google it okay, the internet knows NO boundary”. I guess that serves me right coz I found NO answers!

Anyone? I belanja you teh tarik mamak if you got the song title. If I got the song title myself, well, I guess I’ll belanja myself! Dang!

+HELP+

* Thanks Aimar, for being the handsome usher helping out a lot yesterday! And no, Aleeya is NOT the-madu. Ggrrrr...

Diwali Invitation

Come 17th October, I will be celebrating the Festival of Lights. This year's celebration will be a mix of sweet, bitter and spice. It's gonna be a whole new meaning of happiness to my family. Yet, amidst all the joy, there is still a little regret deep in my heart. I regret that what has happened cannot be undone. Although I know it is not my fault that life has to move this way, I cannot help myself from feeling sorry. And I am especially sorry to my grandma because for the first time, WE are celebrating away.

But this cannot be a reason to not share a little bit of happiness with everyone else, right? So, come and celebrate Diwali with me and my family on the 18th of October, 2009. The house may be old, small, and cheap, but I assure you that we have plenty of food for everyone!

For venue details, you've got to ask me personally. I can't reveal to0 much else BENDERA might attack my family. Or better still, the anonymous who boycott's 1 Malaysia - she's got a problem with the Kelings. Must be bad-parenting. Lalala~

* Ohh, it's a 'she'?? Sheesh, give some space to the lady, will you?!
* If takde sape datang, aku merajuk 30 hari 30 malam tanak bukak Fesbuk! Erk~

Happy Eid

By religion or race, this celebration is not for me to celebrate. By country, this celebration is for everyone to celebrate.

Happy Eid to all my Muslim friends and happy visiting to everyone. To those who are driving back to hometown, may you return safely.

Mid-September Crisis

I went to watch the movie "Up" more than a week ago. But too bad for this movie, I wasn't in my best mood, so I guess I'll skip the review and just give a rating, ok? 4.o - it CANNOT beat Madagascar! HAHA.

So... anyway, who's having open house for the coming Raya and who's inviting me?? Heh.

* ANOTHER mental block. Someone, please give me some topics to blog about! This sucks. I'm bored.

Badaling Wall

It has been a week. I am still feeling lazy from all the meetings, tracks and travelling. And this morning, I received a bad news. Ok, so it WASN'T AS BAD AS I have IMAGINED when I picked up the call at 3:45a.m. Dem you Wak Li! You SCARE THE SH*T out of me!

Ouhh, nevermind. Let's talk about my trip to the GREAT WALL first! Huhu~

So I've seen, walked and climbed the Great Wall! What a great experience! And especially when I went there ALL BY MYSELF guided by only a subway map in my hand with some notes about which bus to take. Huhu.

So these are just some notes and tips for all you future travelers to the Great Wall:
  • Reserve between 7-8 hours for this trip.
  • You can take the subway to the Jiushuitan station, and then take the bus no 919 from the Deshengmen station. Note that this bus station should not be confused with the Deshengmenxi station. You will first come across the Deshengmenxi station, but keep walking further down street, until you see the Deshengmen station. If you want some confirmation, just holler down a local and say "Badaling", they will point out the direction for you. Yes, they point, because even if they speak, they would tell you in Mandarin! Lol.
  • Bus fare costs 12 Yuan one-way. The journey from the town to the walls will take you approximately 1 hour.
  • Wear good shoes. No heels, no skirts, no dress! If you stumble down the wall, it's your fault. If you give free show to the guys, it's their pleasure. Mind you, the winds are really strong up there. Haha~
  • Your entry ticket to visit the walls are at 40 Yuan. There will be pulley ride ticket as well at 30 Yuan one-way. This pulley ride will take you to the first tower. When you reach the ticketing counter, some pushy guides will force you to buy the return ticket (60 Yuan) for the pulley ride. Unless you KNOW you will NOT make it to the other end of the Badaling wall, then you can take the return ticket. If you want to climb the walls by foot until you find the next exit, then insist on getting the one-way ticket only.
  • O yeah, bring SUFFICIENT AMOUNT of money! I almost went back empty-handed when I only brought with me a total of 110 Yuan! Thank goodness I found out that I should only take the one-way ticket for pulley ride. Huhu.
  • Climbing from where you get off the ride to the exit point will take you an approximately 2 hours with some sight-seeing in between stops.
  • Some sections are very steep and therefore might require some physical endurance. It is advisable that you carry with you two 500ml bottles of drinking water to keep you hydrated. I only had 1 bottle of drinking water with a piece of muffin and I had to ensure enough portion through out the journey. Huhu~
  • Some local tips to keep your body hydrated are fruits and especially cucumber.
  • Use caps/hats instead of umbrella because wind is quite strong when you reach the highest tower.
  • Buy your food/drink elsewhere. The vendors at the walls can really cut throat.
  • Do not forget your camera, and enjoy the trip!

It was definitely a pleasant and memorable journey for me. I wished I had more time to visit the Forbidden city too. Unfortunately, time is very jealous of my journey and by the time I rushed to the Forbidden City which is located back in the town, it was 5 minutes before closing time. Sigh~

* Thank you Lord for giving me the chance to wake up and know that he is living.
* Gift untuk Sepeket dah karam bersame Stella. Uhuk2~
* Why is it that when we purchase/subscribe, we must pay on the spot but if we want a refund, it takes weeks to get it? What kind of policy is this?! O wait, it must be the Boleh-land effect!
* If he HAD SOLD the handphone to return the money, WHY DIDN'T HE RETURN IT YET? It's SIMPLE LOGIC, mind you.
* LAME excuse dude. You know that!

Greetings from Beijing peeps!

Ergh! It's a dreadful feeling when I could not get into blogspot today. Thanks CHINA, you're a GREAT host. Thanks for censoring so many of my favorite site. Oh btw, can you teach the Malaysian gov a thing, or two? They are MORE THAN HAPPY to follow your footstep because we bloggers don't say nice things. Haha. Ok, NO, DON'T teach them anything! Wawawa~

It was almost IMPOSSIBLE to find a proxy that could get pass China's censorship! Most proxies only allow me to view my blog, it doesn't allow me to manage the blog. What proxy I'm using? Hehe. That will be kept a secret until I get back to Malaysia! (I don't want the Chinese gov to find out and block it while I'm here!) Lalala~

Anyway, arrived in Beijing Capital Airport at almost 6:30am, and yippie, I found my way to the hotel by taking the subway! Huhu. Come to think of it, I feel safer taking the subway. I heard some people giving review about the taxi at the airport and it scares me! And the trains are fast. Something like our LRT.

After checking into a hotel, setting up connection, getting upset with censorship, taking a nap, I took the subway to Tian Anmen Square. However, since I thought I could use a tour guide (Yang Xi, I'm using you!), I decided that I should postpone my visit to The Forbidden City at the end of my trip. So then I took the subway to Wangfujing. Got to the streets and gosh, its a LOT OF PEOPLE! China is really crowded ehh. Anyway, I've got some stuffs for my mum and aunties. Unfortunately, I still haven't found anything for you and my siblings. Hmm..

* I almost miss my flight for CRYING! Lol.
* I miss you... :(

February 14, 2009

This day may be argued by most religions, but I always think of it as a day chosen in a year, where couples, married or not, celebrates with the rest of the world. If you chose another day, you'd be the loneliest couple on earth! Ahaa..

I never had anything special on this day before. Probably because I don't have a special someone to celebrate with. I hoped for one last year, but it never came. My ex didn't think it was ANY big deal.

Come this year, I thought, "Heck, he might not care either. Oh well, I don't want to care!"

But I never expected for this to come!

I never had anything given to me on Valentine's day, so thanks kamu! I can't believe I got these lovely cupcakes when earlier that day, I was actually discussing with Pejah about cupcakes! It is flattering! Huhu~

Thank you again kamu. Penang is a good place for a weekend getaway. It was spontaneous, yet it is one of our best moments spent together. I love that place where the Neo guyz left us. It was really nice.

* I don't like people forcing me over and over again when I have declined to accept. It puts too much pressure - to please you or to stay firm with my decision. I hate it. Note that: HATE it.
* It's been too many days. The pain still strikes, but who am I to complain... Shut up, Jen.
* Next time, we shall take the bus. Else, I'll DIE in guilt. Thanks to you.
* I hope you don't regret it. I know I'm almost regretting it...

Weekend Report

It's a Friday night, people go out partying, clubbing and racing. But I decided to become a good Hindu devotee (ehem2) by accompanying my aunt for a Thaipusam celebration. We walked from Pudu to Batu Caves in the wee hours to commemorate the chariot procession. It took us approximately 5hours. It was tiring, my feet were aching, but during most of my journey I was annoyed with the INDIAN REMPITS. Yeahh, this is the time of the year where you get to see the most of INDIAN REMPITS in action. I HATE them because they were menacing on the road. And the fact that they keep riding their noisy bikes in between the devotees just gets on my nerves. I even swore that if I saw an Indian rempit hitting into one of the devotee and causing injury, I would kick his ass head. NO, I'm DARN SERIOUS. But you rempits should be thankful to Lord Murugan because he didn't allow such a thing to happen during his birthday celebration. @#$%^&*!!!

And this is also the time of the year where Indian trans takes the center stage (or shall I say, road??). Yeahh, lots of them. And mind you, they have boobs and walk so much graceful than I could! Dem.

All said and done, I went home the next day feeling good that I actually gone through the 5 hour journey with no OTHER COMPLAINTS. Well, I was also annoyed with my aunt's friend actually...heck, I don't want to care! She's not important to me!

Come Sunday, I went shopping. Not for myself though. Bought an evening gown for my sister, but fell in love with it anyway. Huhu. Can I steal it for Valentine's? LOL.

The phone went beeping. Apparently, the trip to Malacca that was scheduled to happen is still in question. So, I said, let's go. And so, we shot to Malacca. Reached Simpang Ampat, Corndog decided to meet his ex, although he was twisting the point by saying UniKL has the best food and drink. Heck, we left him there to meet his ex and we continued our journey.

To summarize, it was a short journey. I was a bit moody. Some people just don't know how to appreciate the effort Ammar made to go to Malacca. If it wasn't for Ammar, I would have said no. And if it wasn't because of Melvin, Ammar would have said no too.

I have a curfew, Melvin. And last night, I passed the curfew. Thankfully, my aunt wasn't so moody. Else, I would have blamed the world for all my misery listening to her lectures.

But I am still shaken. What appeared in the pictures we took? A paranormal sighting? Perhaps... And that's for the 6 of us to ponder. But I believe in good spirits. And they were doing a good job by letting their presence be known to us. At least we know that history shall remain in the ruins of A'Famosa...

Chinese New Year

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to all my Chinese friends, my aunt's family in Kuantan and my uncle's family in Kuching. I definitely miss the CNY celebration in Kuching because that's the BEST place to watch firework displays when the clock strikes midnight. Nowhere else in Malaysia can be compared to the night scene in Kuching on CNY's eve. I hope Bongkersz would agree with me. The streets get sooo smoky that you have to pull over to the side and wait for about 10-15mins to be able to drive again. Gosh, it sure was lively!

This time around, I'm celebrating my CNY holiday at a dreadful place, repeat, DREADFUL place. Where? Let's just say, if I don't visit my relative here, they'd be saying awful things about me. Yeahh, that's the attitude of typical Indian aunties for you. The sin of NOT visiting your relatives is equivalent to murdering your neighbour's cat (so I've concluded from observing my Indian relatives gossiping).

Anyway, to kill time, I'd probably work on getting materials for this site. It's been two months since I bought the domain and NOTHING is being done to it. I can't even get thru the Cpanel since I've forgotten the password! Huhu. Aaaa, no worries, I've jot it down somewhere... at home... Oit Sepeket, bila mau diskusi??

* Gotta ring my uncle in Kuching. I miss the ronda2 we do at night. Haihh~
* Sorry Chee Eng, I can't make it - again. When will we meet again? Hopefully not as a doctor and your patient! Ahax.

Diwali

First and foremost, HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL MY HINDU FAMILY AND FRIENDS! I hope you had a great celebration yesterday, and maybe still is having a blast to this hour. Maybe tomorrow too. And the next day. And perhaps the next day. Also the weekend.. Okay, that's a lil' too much! Haha.

I wish I could have given the festive greeting yesterday, but I did not have much time to do a cyber card the day before. Huhu. Even this cyber card I have here has a touch of plagiarism! Adeii.

Anyway, Diwali celebration went well. The only visitor I had is my martial art Master. Thank you for coming Sir, even uninvited. Haha. Speaking of that, I don't mind if you were uninvited, because it shows that you had thought about me, and that's what most important. Cheers.

Owh, he was MY only visitor. The rest that came were friends of my dad, mum and brothers. Oooh, it shows how LAME a friend I am, that no one bothered to show up at the doorstep! Nahh, not really. I'm just losing all my friends in Kuantan to big cities like KL and Penang. (A comforting pat on my back)

Going back to KL tomorrow. Watching High School Musical 3 on Wednesday night? Fingers crossed.

Hidup ini memang palat, tapi esok masih ada..

Ali. Lynn. Abu. Adii. Sofie.
Teenagers. Friendship. Secrets. Life. Self-discovery.
KAMI The Movie.

Overall, I would say it was a great movie. Not THAT great, but SIMPLY great. It is not a typical Malay movie where every line in their script sound perfect. Everything said and done in the movie is almost a perfect resemblance of the real world. It does not have the ending of a typical Malay movie either. Why? THAT, you gotta watch for yourself.

It has a good storyline. I believe many teenagers can relate to this movie. Boyfriend. Girlfriend. Cyberspace. Drugs. Gigs. Love. Hate.

A good review, you can get it here. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended that you watch the mini-series before you get to the movie. Else, get someone who had watched the mini-series to give you a head-start of what the movie is all about. (Penat siott citer kat ko Pejah!)

I'll get to bed early today because I am tired after a long day. Thanks Mama and Papa Siott for the jog we shared this morning. I've wanted it.

p.s. I miss Abu. Aaaaaaa....

Back to School/Work

Raya holiday is over people! Back to school kids! Back to work y'all! Heeee....

So how much duit raya did you get? I got NONE! Duhh!!~

I went to my aunt's house during raya. Ate lotsa lemang and ketupat with the curry chicken she made specially for us. Yeah, amusing how I can celebrate all the festive celebration coz I have aunties and uncles from all walk of race and religion! AWESOME-NESS!! I'm a TRUE Malaysian. Heeeee....

Just now, dropped off my mum and siblings at the bus station in Pekeliling. Damn ar. 6.30pm bus only came at 8pm! Aaaahh...everyone is trying to utilize the highway to be back at work tomorrow! Heh.

Erm, I tried to call my ex again. Even sent him a text message. Stalker eh? Haha~ No worries. I got no reply. And no ringing tone. Could it be that he changed his number because he can't stand me harassing his LIFE? Ahah~ Good for you s***er! I hope now you know how miserable my life has been! Psst. He could be reading this too. Lalala~ (signs of a lunatic on the loose)

Anyway, forgot to mention that I went to work on Friday! Crazy liao~ I was the ONLY ONE in the office. Everyone else was eating roti canai, err, at least that was what Kak Hanim did when I called her on her cellphone. Hehe. Owh, and I was also a 'cast' of Scene 3. Ahaha~

Scene 3. Take 1.

(walk towards the ladies room)
Cleaner: Eh, adik keje arini?
Me: A ah, kak. Saye sorg jek yang kene keje arini. Kat ofis takde sape pun. Tu pasal la akak tgk pintu ofis tu tutup jek. Saye kunci dari dalam. (grins)
Cleaner: Owh, ye ke. Adik tak balik kampung ke?
Me: Tak, kak. Mak saye and adik2 turun KL.
Cleaner: Owh, beraye kat KL lah yer, dik?
Me: A ah, kak. (smiles and push open the door to the ladies room)

Heh. Dah malas dah nak berdalih. So, I played along. Biarlah akak tu pikir aku Melayu pun. For once, I was too lazy to deny and make my stand. Maaf la kak. Krisis identiti. Wakakaka!!~

Scene 1. Take 1.

(stops a cab)
Me: LRT Kerinchi?
Cabby: Bole.
Me: Trime kaseh.

(gets into the cab. switches off mp3 player.)
Cabby: Balik raye bile?
Me: Erm, tak balik raye.
Cabby: Owh, ye ke. Kampung kat mane, dik?
Me: Saye asal *******.
Cabby: Tahun ni tak pulang beraye la ek.
Me: Err...uncle, saye bukan Melayu. Saye *****. Heh~
Cabby (looks back from the mirror, sounding surprise): Hah?! Ye ke? Sori dik, saye ingat Melayu.
Me: Takpe. Rutin harian dah ni.

Scene 2. Take 1.

(walks towards the lift. smiles at a lady waiting for the lift door to open)

Lady: Tak balik raye?
Me: Errr..saye bukan Melayu kak.
Lady: Hah?! Ye ke. Nampak macam Melayu lah, dik!
Me: Tak lah. Saye bangsa *****. Tp ader mix la kak. My mum orang ******.
Lady: Ohh..patut la..
Me: Saye duduk kat umah yang ujung skali tu (pointing finger towards an end). Duduk ngan my aunty.
Lady: Your aunty, ****** ke?
Me: Err..ya.
Lady: Laaa..rupanya. Tapi memang tak cam lah adik ni orang *****!
Me: (smiles and gets into lift)

There goes. For the past one week, I'm being harrased with the same question over and over again. BEWARE. Looks are deceiving. Hehe.

Anyway, with the Raya heat wave ON, I would like to wish my dear Muslim friends a HAPPY EID UL FITR. Selamat pulang ke kampung and selamat kembali ke ibu kota. Safe journey.
