Fancy reading about Bonnie and Clyde? Did you follow the news on Timothy McVeigh about his last few days before his lethal death sentence? Do you know the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs?

And some were summon from the death.

Follow this real life account of a 16 year old girl named Emily who summoned the two most notorious criminals from the "Great Depression" era and what they think about smart phones.

Emily has since subscribe to DG Smart Plan at RM68 per month to prove her case that her phone is indeed a smartphone. Satisfied, Bonnie kidnapped and forced Shaolin Tiger to help her hack into several Facebook accounts to retrieve her victims address. She was about to murder her first victim (since death) when KYSpeaks came and offered her food. She was so tempted, she left her day job as a criminal to pursue her new career as the host of Jalan2 Cari Makan.

Clyde is now a part-time customer service executive at the Digi Centre. Once in awhile, his hand still itches, so you might wanna check your pocket if he comes near you. *winks*

Cekap la wei!

You know how many of us are very skeptical when it comes to government service? I’m one of those people too. For the most part, I hate the fact that most government websites do not load properly on browsers OTHER THAN Internet Explorer. It’s time these government offices sack their current webmaster and hire someone who knows how to tweak the website to support all browsers.

Oh, that’s not the point of this entry.

The thing is, my road tax will be expiring this weekend. I know we can renew it at the post office but I’m just too lazy to 1) prepare the documents to be brought to the post office and 2) find the nearest post office to my working place. Okay fine, no 1 is an exaggeration. Padahal the ONLY document I need to bring with me is the car registration card. LOL!

Ahh well, the kesimpulan is I’M JUST LAZY okay? So I opted for the online road tax renewal via MyEG Services website. Perfect for the lazy bums! It only requires some basic information like your name, NRIC, delivery method, address, car registration no and renewal period. No need to upload anything, no lengthy details and you just need to log on to your online banking account for payment transactions. Totally hassle free!

Summary of transaction:
Road tax renewal fee – RM 45.00 (6 months)
e-Service charge – RM 2.75
Delivery charge – RM6.00

Worthy? YES! What’s RM6 on delivery charge compared to my travel cost to the post office and lunch time used to run the errand!

Now that I have submitted my road tax renewal via MyEG, it’s time to sit and wait for the delivery lah kan? How long do you think it will take for the road tax to be delivered to my home? 1 day? 2 days? 3 days?

None of the above. It only took them 6 hours to process and deliver it! Yes, you read it correctly. I went online in the morning around 9 am, received a call from an officer at 12 noon, and my sister acknowledged the receipt at 2.30pm.

Damn cekap la wei. Seriously, I did not expect things to be fast at all. In fact, that was one of the reasons why I submitted the renewal 4 days earlier than the expiring date. I must admit, I am caught off guard by MyEG Services. Keep it up guys! You’re doing great. You might as well take over all the other government sites. LOL!

* Thinking about replacing my MyKad via the portal too.. Hehe..

Robin Hood (2010)

I believe the name Robin Hood is not foreign to any of us. We all know this guy and his marvel tale of being an outlaw and stealing from the rich to feed the poor. But how many of us know the story before he became the legendary Robin Hood? Here’s the movie to tell you what happened before he became an outlaw and dubbed as the Prince of Thieves.

I will not elaborate on the movie synopsis. Let’s just go straight into what I think of the movie.
  • I was quite bored with the storyline. I thought the movie tried to climax a little too many times. At one point, I was just hoping the movie would end soon.
  • For most part of the battle, I couldn’t see what was flying, whose blood is it, and what were they hitting. But hey, it’s a battle. You can’t make battles in slow-mo. Err... can you??
  • Props were kinda phony.
  • Robin Hood played by Russell Crowe looks a bit flabby. LOL. But other than, brilliant character.
  • I thought Cate Blanchett played her character (Maid Marian) well! She was calmed and composed.
  • Too many scenes going back and forth. I hated the idea of having to squeeze my brain juice to digest some scenes. Hukhuk.
  • During the final battle scene (when the Englishmen rode their horses towards the cliff), the background music changed abruptly. It sorta killed my mood.

Dang. I couldn’t think of any positive comments! I think I better stop reviewing before it gets too biased! Nevertheless, if you’re a fan of ancient battles, you might wanna catch this movie. I think many people will like the movie, but I just didn't. But mind you, not to compare this movie with Gladiator or 300. Robin Hood (2010) might just turn out as a decent movie – not GREAT great, but just fair enough.

Rise and rise again,
until lambs become lions.

* We watched this movie before the US release date! Yeay!

How to Train Your Dragon

I suppose I am a month late to post a review? Huhu. I know I’ve been procrastinating a lot lately but I just can’t help feeling a little annoyed at some my blog.

So anyway, this movie is loosely based on a book by the same name. The story is about a Viking teenage boy named Hiccup and his struggle to prove to his dad that he could face the Viking’s tradition of becoming a dragon slayer. But when he finally captures his first dragon, he finds that he is incapable of slaying the dragon. Instead, he developed a desire to get to know the dragon, befriend it and tame it.

From Toothless (the name given to the dragon), Hiccup learns how to train dragons. When he no longer has the desire to kill dragons, he earned the rights to kill a dragon as a sacrament of the Viking’s tradition. What happens next was so fun to watch; I could watch it again!

Some flying scenes reminded me of the movie Avatar, but apart from that, every other scene was just so amazing and captivating. I hate to think that I can’t think of any critical comments for this movie but yeahh, I have NONE. How the plots continued, I couldn’t have figured out unless I have read the book before. Nonetheless, it didn’t carry any ‘heavy’ scenes that you have to put on your thinking cap. It was simply relaxing, elevating and heartening.

As a matter of fact, I personally thought that I could feel the chemistry between Hiccup and Toothless. They were just so affectionate towards each other. Hiccup is just like any other boy who would always try to prove themselves worthy to an adult. Toothless is just a cute and awesome dragon to watch!

Okay, maybe it’s a little too late to say this but this is a fun, enjoyable and light-weighted movie suitable for anyone with a BIG HEART!

* I don’t think I will review Toy Story 1&2 in 3D because 1) the movie is nothing new, 2) the 3D version doesn’t look any much different from 2D so WTH and 3) I fell asleep during the movie. And yessss, this is my first time falling asleep during a movie. O_o
* Watching Robin Hood tonight!

Tokio Hotel

Woohoo people! It’s been awhile since I last updated this blog! I was quite busy since the past week. Plus, Falkor made us all very stressful. But, he is all OKAY now. :)

Anyway, here’s a quick update. On Labor Day, we went to the Tokio Hotel concert in Central Park Avenue. The crowd was big and VIOLENT. Haha. But lucky us, when we were just about to line up *cough, cough*, the gate beside us opened up as an alternative entry to the concert area. I believe we were among the first 100 people to get into the concert area.

Opening acts were Pop Shuvit and Bunkface. Awesome performance from two awesome bands. Somewhere along the way during Bunkface’s performance, the sound system went off but the band continued playing and singing. Some uneducated, childish, stupid and immature kids boo-ed. I find that rather, well, uneducated, childish, stupid and immature obviously. You can disagree with me and you can claim that you were just taunting the organizer but people, PEOPLE; HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE BAND ON STAGE. *rolls eyes*

Ohh, I also HATED all the songs that they were playing in between the bands. Can you believe that while waiting for the next band to set up the stage, the organizers played songs from Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber?? I mean, yeah I admit I like them both *gulp*, but does anyone even notice that we are at Tokio Hotel’s concert???

So anyway, Tokio Hotel came on stage and played a few songs. Not much interaction with the crowd BUT it’s all good. I know most of their songs but I don’t really know the lyrics. I was hoping they would play Monsoon and they did at the very end of the concert. But how unfortunate, they sang it in German so yeah, I was lost again. Haha.

I didn’t take any picture myself but here’s some from a friend. Credits to Azza.

Ok cao!
