Diwali Invitation

Come 17th October, I will be celebrating the Festival of Lights. This year's celebration will be a mix of sweet, bitter and spice. It's gonna be a whole new meaning of happiness to my family. Yet, amidst all the joy, there is still a little regret deep in my heart. I regret that what has happened cannot be undone. Although I know it is not my fault that life has to move this way, I cannot help myself from feeling sorry. And I am especially sorry to my grandma because for the first time, WE are celebrating away.

But this cannot be a reason to not share a little bit of happiness with everyone else, right? So, come and celebrate Diwali with me and my family on the 18th of October, 2009. The house may be old, small, and cheap, but I assure you that we have plenty of food for everyone!

For venue details, you've got to ask me personally. I can't reveal to0 much else BENDERA might attack my family. Or better still, the anonymous who boycott's 1 Malaysia - she's got a problem with the Kelings. Must be bad-parenting. Lalala~

* Ohh, it's a 'she'?? Sheesh, give some space to the lady, will you?!
* If takde sape datang, aku merajuk 30 hari 30 malam tanak bukak Fesbuk! Erk~

I Love Living Life. I Am Happy.

My attitude contradicts with almost everyone. And because of the way I convey my thoughts and feelings, hence, whatever I do or whatever I say, I am always misinterpreted.

I am surrounded by people who thinks that I am a tough cookie who could get through the worst pain and still remain calm. Yes, I am tough. In guarding the feelings of others, I am quick to respond/counter-attack. But in guarding the feelings of my own, I am weak and I am fragile. I have no guards over how I feel. I am passive and I don't see the point to respond to people's misinterpretation.

Consequently, when I am being perceived as having a negative persona, I would normally pick a corner to sulk over it instead of going over to that person to prove otherwise.

Sulking sucks. But when sulking is accompanied by a comforting soul, I achieve serenity and composure.

But the comforting soul cannot be there for you always, can he? Nor do you have the nerve to share ALL your problems with him, do you?

So, when he's not there for me or when I do not have the guts to discuss my problems with him, where do I turn to for strength?

No, not God. Yes, the world revolves around God but God helps does who helps themselves. God did not give us a weak soul. We on earth are the one who constantly weakens the soul.

So, where do I turn for strength?

Nick Vujicic.
Not because he is anyone special in my life but because God has created him special.

Who said that the messenger of God has to be a perfect being?

He doesn't have to. He just need to knock some senses into our enormous brains.

* I like when Nick says "It matters how you gonna finish. Are you gonna finish strong?". I felt like being knocked on the head. A HARD one too.
* - DELETED -
* Told you, people will NEVER get what I REALLY think. Sigh~
* I have HATE-fanS under one roof. Can the other bloggers top that? Haha!

Eclipse

During a solar eclipse more than 10 years ago, I remember clearly my grandma would tell us to fast hours before the eclipse. She would also warn us not to use knives and scissors to cut anything. I felt like a pregnant woman then. Haha.

It was then when she told us how the eclipse came into existence. According to the Hindu scriptures, a demon named Rahu (yeahh, I had to google this demon because honestly, I forgot!) wanted to be immortal. So during a ritual of immortality where Gods are given amrut, he disguised himself as a God and sat between the Moon God and the Sun God.

Unknowingly, he was given the amrut and just then, the Moon God and Sun God revealed that it was actually a demon. Unfortunately, the amrut had reached his throat and as he was beheaded, his head remained immortal! LOL.

Since Moon God and Sun God were the two Gods who revealed his true identity, he nurtured hatred towards them. Therefore it is believed that at certain time of the year, Rahu holds the sun and the moon by his mouth, hence, the existence of the solar and lunar eclipses.

So, I was told. Huhu.

Tomorrow, the world will witness this century's longest total solar eclipse. In Malaysia, we could observe a partial solar eclipse between 8.23a.m - 9.48a.m (Bernama, July 21). However, it would be difficult to view the phenomenon as only 17.8 per cent of the sun would be obscured by the moon.

This means I should be fasting. Oh wait, if it's a solar eclipse, I should fast 12 hours before the eclipse. Arghh!! I passed the time to start fasting! Haha. Ouhh well, worry not, one can drink water during this period. Huhu. One should only observe a waterless fast while the actual eclipse is in progress. Ho-yeahh.

One should also take a bath after the eclipse to ward off evil spirits/doings as eclipse is commonly observe as a dark period. LOL, how am I suppose to take a bath while working??? Ahaa.

Anyway, if you'd like to view the live webcasts of the eclipse, they say watch here, but just don't ask me how, haha:

* What a disappointment that the website of National Space Agency, ANGKASA has not provided ANY insights about tomorrow's eclipse.
* Ages ago, I drafted a post about anonymous comments. Now I am thinking of publishing it. They are abusing the freedom of speech a lil too much. Yikes.

Fatalism

Yesterday, I had an argument with someone twice my age about challenges we face in life. I realize now that arguing with her was just a waste of time because in her rebuttal, she often uses words such as fate and Karmasutra, which by the way, is getting on my nerves.

If you're a good friend, you would know by now that I am going through a very difficult phase in life. As we were discussing the problem I have, I was told by her that this is my fate, which I can agree with. But when she said that I cannot fight fate, I beg to disagree.

I admit that I am not a good Hindu nor I follow bhajans religiously like her. Yet, I know that Hinduism does not advocate fatalism as the purest kind. In fatalistic thinking, there is no place for free will. Everything is preordained before birth, and you have little choice other than follow the plan determined by God.

In any battle, there will be a winning and a losing team. If you were in the losing team, and if you were FATED to lose, will you give up hope, let the enemy kill your team members and shoot you in the head? Or will you do everything you could to stay alive and protect the lives of many others?

If according to the person I argued with yesterday, if you were fated to lose, then it may be about you washing off your bad karma. Perhaps, you have done something wrong in your past life and that you are paying for all the sins in this life. Yes, I do believe in karma. What you give, you get back. But little did she realize that if I was fated to lose and yet I kept fighting to protect others, I am indirectly creating a good karma for my next life. I have good intentions. Does it hurt to rebel a little? And even if it is perceived as fighting fate, who are you again to decide?

Fate and Karma, it is all very confusing. It is not only a religious believe, it had turned philosophical. But I want my free will and I will NEVER allow fate to control my life. At the end of the day, I want to make the choice. How it turns out, is then called FATE.

* One fate that everyone will experience is DEATH. So, if you were fated to die tomorrow, will you not fight to survive?
* Good article here.
* I'm moving.
